After watching Rev. Wright on Bill Moyers on PBS, I once again got to see how ridiculously prejudiced, racist and anything but fair and balanced Fuax really is!!!They have tried to destroy Rev. Wright with their bogus cutting and editing of his speeches. I question whether anyone is fair and balanced. There are way too many variables in most situations to every reduce them to 10-30 second snippets of sound and color. But we live in the land of quick fixes, instant gratifications and "I wanted it yesterday"s, so why should we expect much depth? Mother Jones and some other more obscure publications do attempt to put some thought and depth into what they do. I do appreciate the efforts of Move On, BraveNew films and other to shine the light of reason and reflection on some of these issues. Cheers, Kevin W.

I rarely even take a peek at Fox News. But the times I have watch it, I was usually disgusted at what the presented. One can watch it for five minutes and see the mess that they produce. As for Terry McAuliffe, I think that they needs to get rid of one of the DLC talking points where a democrat must praise republicans or conservatives.

Jeremiah Wright on Bill Moyer's JOURNAL on PBS this Friday, April 25th. If you have not/did not see this edition of The JOURNAL, find someone that recorded it, or try to catch a rerun this week on PBS. Or seek the full show out on the web and watch it all the way through. We -- you and me -- have been hoodwinked (again) by the sensationalism of the corporate media about this man and what he said and what and how he preached. I can now understand why Obama would not disavow this man. THIS is the man who could actually get me back to church each and every Sunday. THIS is a man of truth and intelligence and honesty. THIS is the Christian this white, unchurched "lapsed Presbyterian" has sought almost all my 61+ years that speaks and acts and lives as a Christian should. Wow.

I never allow Faux News on any of my TVs, even when I'm away. The thought of those treasonous liars on my box makes me sick. They wouldn't recognize truth, fairness or balance if they came up and bit their Pinocchio noses. I have no respect for any official or candidate who appears on this propaganda machine purporting to be a news outlet. Then again, I don't watch any news programs, with the occasional exception of BBC World News, the News Hour on PBS, or Bill Moyers. With so much conglomerate control, they all slant the coverage. Any time a democrat turns into a fox admirer is a bad moment. But McAuliffe and Senator Clinton would not, technically, fit under the rubric of "democrat" since they were part of joe lieberman's DLC and instrumental in giving that "republican lite" philosophy currency in the democratic party. The sooner we are rid of Joe, Hillary, and Terry, used the toilet paper and bidet and thoroughly washed our hands, the better. It's no surprise that murdoch was squeezed out of the bottom of the world. I just hope he doesn't clog the pipes when we flush him. Fox can say whatever it likes. In a fair world, they would be drowned out every day by the truth, and perhaps we will be able to approach that level of fairness at some point. In the meantime, trying to hush O'Reilly, Hannity, and Scarbrough would only come back to haunt us at some point. If anyone wants to understand how evil and dangerous fox is simply watch the PBS interview of Rev. Jeremiah Wright on Bill Moyers Journal on PBS -- it aired last night Friday the 25th. Powerful, how truth in every great institution (including the church) that was meant to serve the common humanity well in democracy is being destroyed by this kind of propoganda by Fox. One hopes that the grass roots is awake and aware to heed the warning of our times from Wright and others that our time as an empire running the world is about up. The Clintons and McAuliffe are just another sign -- what Sports Illustrated might call this weeks sign that the Apocalypse is near. With North Carolina republicans running their asassination ad on Obama (why don't we call it what it is -- it is kill time -- and all of this started on Easter holy week)... Remember how right after 9/11 the masses, the grass roots wanted to know "why does our enemy hate us so?" Here was Wright a prophet giving some context and now 7-years later as Hilary threatens to obliterate Iran (oh that is so helpful- wake up Democratic Party and put her and Bill away now)I remember the Bush regime saying, "oh just keep shopping." Well guess what? Soon with the economy the way it is we won't Hilary's regime won't be able to divert us with that mantra, so I guess the only diversion left for us is sports and war.

As true as what is being said about FOX, actually is, I stopped watching them years ago. I even gave up my favorite show - 24. But, what is annoying to me is that YOU continue to bring this crap up and rubbing our noses in it. This is like friendly fire. You are preaching to the choir. I don't care about FOX and I don't want to hear about FOX - especially from friends like Robert Greenwald. You are making FOX the story. More attention to a non-issue and to a network that is not worthy of our time or discussion.

You want to make some noise about something I give a rats ass about, start a movement to suspend FOX News' broadcast license. That is a topic worth discussion. Otherwise please stop this. He's been a detriment to the Democratic Party for years. Y'know, when the California primary was here, I voted for Hillary Clinton because of the repulsive sexism displayed daily by WSNBC, Fox, etc. Now however, I would have voted for Obama. In the final election, of course, I'll vote for whichever democrat becomes the nominee, but my discouragement about Clinton is the awful campaign of lies and innuendos she's running against Obama and Terry M. is one of her leading advisors. He's one of the reasons I never send money to the DNC. Even with Howard Dean at the helmn, with people like Carville, Terry M., etc. trying to run down every progressive project he wants to do, nothing progressive will ever get done. So save your money for MoveOn, the Courage Campaign, Media Matters, Brave New Films, veterans against the war, environmental groups, and don't even think of Fox News or MSNBC. They can ruin your whole day!

spent . It worked to get Micheal Savage's show defunded .

I blocked all Fox stations in my home three years ago. A couple of the local stations became Fox affiliates and they are also no long viewable in my home.

There are so many incidents to illustrate the lies, the Bush propaganda, the Bill O'Reilly creepiness, but my recent favorite is their total destruction of Montel Williams' last appearance when he tried to tell the truth about the War and about the fact that vets are being ignored. And CBS has now ordered him off the air. This is such an outrage. He has been a true hero, his foundations have raised millions to help the poor and victims of MS, and he has now been trashed because apparently Bush cannot abide any negative comments about any of his blatant crimes. And they might as well rename FOX as the Hillary/McCain network.

A message to the people who say to simply turn it off or ignore it:

FOX News has been enjoying it's peak success through out the Bush years making a lot of money and basically assisting in the rigging of the 2004 election, laughing all the way to the bank. Brave New Films is a relatively new source that has
finally exposed Fox for being the cheerleaders they are, but, more importantly, they showed with these films that FOX does affect public policy and it is proven time and again. You can bury your head all you want, but Fox isn't giving up.

That being said, in my humble opinion, as a direct result of Mike, DJK, jgill and many ore people's hard work. Fox's ratings are starting to plummet and other news shows are making their own money off of doing their own anti-fox segments.

For instance, Dan Abrahams recently dedicated a piece of his show to the issue even having DJK for Commentary. While people have been burying their head on this issue, the good people of Brave New Films have been making real change and working towards real solutions.

Good luck on your personal boycott of FOX news Biff.

Of course Fox called it for Hillary right away, they're desperate to see her win the primary. We have all seen the numbers and opinion polls and we all know that she can't beat McCain. Every win for Hillary is a win for McCain. She went $10 million in debt financing the PA primary, how will she be able to beat McCain while in debt? Shame on you, McAuliffe. I deleted Fox from my viewing after hearing Ann Coulter one night. I think I would have throttled her if I could have gotten my hands around her neck. You are fraternizing with the enemy.

This party needs aggressive fighters. McAuliffe is not. The Democratic House of Representatives is not. They should be voting against every Republican bill. The Republicans certainly voted against every Democratic bill when they had control.

2nd point - my hometown newspaper, the Morning Call, reported that most newly registered democrats - including those who switched from the republican party specifically to alter primary results - voted for Obama -

McAuliffe is a creep. When I worked at the DNC, he had some friends of mine in an editing suite all day with him to put together a presentation to go behind some speech he was giving. He berated them on a very personal level all day long, then after the whole ordeal decided that he didn't want the presentation after all. And then when he gave the speech, he talked about how much he loves to take young people under his wing and teach them. He is the epitome of what is wrong in politics today, an egotistical, disingenuous douche.

I can't comment on Fox's worst moments, because I refuse to watch their garbage. But I've seen plenty of Fox Attacks on the Internet, and I can't believe what an IDIOT McAuliffe is for singing their praises! It's pathetic in the same way that it is pathetic when bullies tease a mentally retarded kid, and the kid doesn't get it and keeps on smiling; thinking he's made some friends. And it's horrible because when the Democratic primary turned their attention toward Pennsylvania, the Clinton team became unbelievably abusive - creating a situation in which they were actually handing attack material to the GOP for future use should Obama win the Democratic primary. Clinton is playing the dirty politics as usual game, but with the nastiest twist I've ever seen - setting up a scenario which insists that she, and she alone, is the only Democrat who is fit to handle the presidency. And she and McAuliffe are as stupid as can be to approach things this way - because there is no way that the thousands of Republicans who would vote for Obama against McCain will vote for her. She's coming across not as tough, but as slimy. McAuliffe is just plain stupid for praising Fox. What an idiot! Obama will rise above, as usual, and hopefully will win the Democratic primary and then the general election. Why? Because you can trust him. You can't trust Clinton. At the beginning of this, I believed that although I supported Obama, I would vote in the general election for Clinton if she beat Obama in the primaries. Well shucks, in that one instance FOX did act in a fair and balanced and prompt way -- contrary to the other major networks that stalled on the announcement in order to avoid telling it on prime time. In that regard, Mr. McAuliffe was correct and fair himself. Let's not demonize him for telling the truth about that incident. I doubt that he meant to praise FOX as much as he meant to point out the irony of the situation.

If you think the ad they're showing with McAuliffe is bad, wait until you see the Obama Promo they air after his appearance tomorrow on Fox News Sunday.

As for Clinton's campaign, she has already taken money from Rupert Murdoch and said publicly that Fox is more fair to her than other networks. She has sat down with Richard Mellon Scaife and received the endorsement of his newspaper despite her having murdered Vince Foster (according to Scaife).

Go ahead and take this to McAuliffe, but don't expect wither of them to repent.

I have never watched Fox on purpose. I have had the extreme displeasure of seeing portions of it when visiting my next door neighbor, who I admire as a world-class guitarist and who I consider a friend, but whose politics I abhor and frequently argue with him about.

One needn't watch Fox to understand just how little truth (and certainly precious little objectivity) they bring to the table. Thanks to YouTube and other venues for viewing clips, coupled with a well-developed critical thinking capability (something Fox viewers clearly either never had or have chosen to leave behind in their fear of the "other"), it's possible to be quite familiar with their propaganda and scandalously right-wing slant toward the "news".

As I slowly came to life from my night's sleep, I listened to what they had to say. Mouth open, I couldn't believe the ignorance, misinformation that spewed from their greedy mouths. On another topic, has anyone considered Hillary's recent "obliterate Iran" comment? Iran currently has a population of around 72 million. "Obliterating Iran" would kill most of those people (and many more "collateral" victims). This would make Hillary Clinton the single greatest mass murderer in human history. What an astonishingly brutal and stupid remark. Even George Bush wouldn't have stooped this low. Under no circumstances could I support Hillary Clinton for anything. Her ego maniacal lust for power makes McCain seem attractive by comparison. We would be much better served by a strong Democratic Congress and a weak McCain presidency. In 2002 O'Reilly was interviewing a young man whose father had died at the Twin Towers on 9/11. O'Reilly viciously attacked him verbally with insults, abuse and calling him names for not wanting to kill all Muslims, I guess, since the hijackers had perished in the 9/11 attacks. I had never watched 0'Reilly or FUX before or since except for when I pass over them why surfing the web. What O'Reilly did was thoroughly disgusting and of course no apology was ever offered. 0'Reilly had accused the interviewee of being a terrorist himself for all intents and purposes which hindered his employment prospects. This I find very interesting is several ways that Terry McAuliffe, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is crawling in bed with FOX. It is interesting because now this indicates that he is a corporate democrate. Democrats need to distinguish themselves from a corporate democrat. We can not forget Hillary took money from Rupert Murdock. The other piece of information that is extremely revealing is the ad that was run in the Pennsylvania Primary that had Osama Ben Ladon. It is interesting that every single image that was shown in that ad was also known as a "false flag operation". However, what was brought to light is that polio possibly may have been a false flag operation as well due to its association with the other images.

How sad. Hillary has sold out to "them" and she is now under their control. How sad. Not such a tough leader after all. So sad!

OK, people, here is the direct quote of what Hillary actually said about attacking Iran...

I admit this is pandering to a McCain audience and a ploy to snatch votes away from him, but let US be 'fair and balanced' here and not employ the same disingenuous tactics that fox news does. I would NOT want to see the entire country of Iran obliterated either, but neither would I wish that Iran obliterates Israel. If diplomacy cannot keep us all from blowing each other to smithereens as we learned from the Chamberlain debacle, what tactic(s) are necessary to be deployed as a deterent? Let's debate that issue and come up with a civilized solution. I do not agree with Hillary's statement as a resolution in this issue as it has a blatant disregard for human life. But she does have a point...knowing that we are capable of such an act should be a deterrent for Iran. I have always wondered if the U.S. had dropped the first atomic bomb somewhere close to Hiroshima that would have resulted in a MINIMUM of collateral damage (God how I abhore that term) what the outcome would have been. It is obvious to me that American hegemony was the mission of that administration when it obliterated 2 major cities full of innocent people. Fox hates all liberals, so their coverage of this election has been less biased than MSNBC or CNN, which are mouthpieces for the Obama campaign. I do not agree with all of Fox news reports, but at least, they slam both presidential candidates equally. Fox is all about getting a Republican elected, they are not partial to Hillary. Have you ever listened to Morris? He is about as bad it gets, when slamming Clinton. So no, I don't believe they give preferential treatment to one candidate over the other one.

My favorite recent "Fair and Balanced" moment was when one of the female "reporters" showed a video and claimed that it might show Obama "flippin' off" Hillary because he scratches his face with his middle finger. Even one of her co-"reporters" said he thought this was just there because they had nothing else to talk about! But she held steadfastly to the idea that he might be flipping her off. Just Wonderful! Really!
My prediction: During Obama's presidency the next eight years, Hillary and Bill will become Fair and Balanced "reporters" for Fox (of course, MCAuliffe will join them!).

Which were the ugliest Fox moments? Any and all of them. They sickened me to the point I haven't been able to stand them for one second -- much like the sight of Bush or the sound of his voice causes a physical reaction that is beyond being merely unpleasant; it gives me the heebie jeebies -- as do Rush Limbaugh and Fox "news" --they even make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, a sure sign of being in the presence of true evil in my experience. Even if I could get past the sight and sound of these minions, and I am only talking hypothetically here because that will never happen, I wouldn't be able to stomach that psychic vomit they spew forth exposing their enormously disturbing mental imbalances for all to see. I vote for Anarchy -- there's no way that things could be worse with no government than it proves to be with government, could it? If nothing else we could start over once rid of the status quo in the current government correcting the mistakes made by the forefathers. Like adding those two words that opened the gates for this flood of the criminals we see running the country -- "without representation" following "no taxation" has let this happen to America. No Taxation -- period -- and making that ironclad would just about take care of those holes these worms crawled through to steal the office of president -- twice -- and get away with it. No electoral college BS -- each vote counted means every vote counts. Ballots on paper counted by people not electronic machinery. Every issue voted on by everyone. If you served your sentence you have paid your debt to society and you will be allowed to rejoin society and yes your vote is your vote. Hell, even in prison you should be able to vote -- why not? Everyone must have an equal say in what's purchased and who is in charge. Put back the ban on any one person being able to purchase the media -- ever. There are some laws that must be carved in stone that nobody can change and those are the basic ones I see as being needed today, tomorrow, and always: Corruption can be prevented. What kind of door is opened with elected representatives? Prostitutes who sell out their constituencies to the highest corporate bidder, obviously. We are all capable of getting to the polls -- or better yet, mail in ballots. We do not need representatives screwing us over. We do not need Senators. We do not need Congress. The people ALL vote and ALL the votes are counted and the majority wins -- even if it's by one vote. End of story on corruption arising out of representation. Taxation abolished allows us to control our own money and our own world. If the people in Phoenix want a road they all pitch in their money or their labor toward getting it built. And how much do you want to bet that we'd get it built for a Hell of a lot less than one million or one billion a MILE? How many $50,000 toilets would we buy? How many $75 screws? How many trillions would we spend to kill people to steal their oil? We, the people, would abolish war forever because we don't want war -- we want peace and contrary to popular propaganda peace is not just the downtime between wars and guess what else??? Freedom IS free! DUH -- thus the "free" in freedom. Mass murder is never justified; mass murder is unjustifiable. Period. Defense against an attack that was not staged by a maggot named George W. I wrote to Howard Dean and the Democratic Party incompetents questioning why the party has not filed suit for illegal political contributions by Fox. The contributions coming through blatant and biased broadcasts supported by advertising revenue. The Republican Party has received continuous huge monetary support through Fox broadcasts fully supporting every policy and platform of the Republican Party. The idea, that in the 21st century a political party can claim to be a legitmate "major" player [or party] without having at its disposal, the basic communication tools needed to compete, is absolutly ludicrous.To date, there is only one political party [the GOP] that has and has had [for nearly a generation now] it's own TV network [ it's called Fox ]. Equally as damaging, is the fact that Fox has set the tone for political [and even cultural] discourse. There is only Fox [which is Republican TV] and the other networks that are really Fox lite [or Republican lite] TV news networks. On CBS, who was the first guest that Kattie C [their then new anchor] chose to have on her new interview format? None other than Rush fatso. Like it or not, in this day and age, TV is the main medium of communication. This is where most people get most of their information from. It's the information equivalent of fast food. Between runing around holding 1 and a half jobs, picking up the kids from daycare, and preparing dinner, you have about 15 minutes a day to get some news [and not every day]. You quickly turn on TV for your daily dose of quick information. That's our modern world. And right now there is only one point of view and one variety of spin being presented on the media that most people get their information from. Without access to the basic informational institution of the age, no political party can claim to be a major party. There is only one major party in this country, the Republicans. They get to set the debate through their direct access to mass media. All other parties, including the Democrats are 3rd parties. Therefore, the arguemnt that we must stay with the Democrats because 3rd parties are never successful is bogus. The Democrats are a third pary! And they will remain such, until they assess the situation correctly and follow up with the necessary actions. If that means skiping a few election cycles and directing the saved resources towards aquiring their own network [to have the tools that a real major party needs to compete], so be it. In the long run they will come out ahead. And if the Democrats don't see this basic truth, then there is an opening for another 3rd party to direct it's resources properly and seize the moment.

Whatever one may think of ANY of the candidates or any of those who ever have worked for any one of them, or are working for them right now, one thing is for certain and beyond the shadow of any doubt:

Fox Channel is an exceptionally biased channel that is engaged more in what one could call a set of pre-meditated sequential multi-level and multi-dimensional exercises in deception than in any real reporting of any news.

And because it is so biased while constantly also claiming to be "fair and balanced" and all the other nonsense self-promoting propaganda about themselves which they also put out incessantly ....such as about "we report, you decide, or Mr. O Reilly's "no spin zones" (which ought to be called "nothing but spin zones") and whatever else they can concoct or improvise. they are also very dangerous.

I cannot provide specific examples beyond the many other ones that I am certain many others contributing here already have provided regarding precisely when they have been particularly egregiously biased or have misrepresented the facts grotesquely (or have simply selected irrelevant facts for reporting instead of relevant and important ones) there are just too many to recall and I have stopped counting the instances a long time ago.

Moreover it is not only a matter of just summing up specific instances of their bias or their mis-representation, or deceptions, the processes which they use are more sophisticated than just a set of discrete incidents. They also have managed to create successfully an atmosphere and culture and general process of overall deception within which they can then more easily inscribe more specific misrepresentations.

And they are dangerous and insidious not only because of the content which they present and the content that they don't present but also at various levels of process. (such as trying to accentuate the value of certain personalities whom they interview whom they favor or think support their cause and discredit or outright humiliate others who they consider to be their political opponents. And whenever they start to fail at this then the outright bullying -sometimes also extremely rude and vicious- starts to comes out; (just watch that "nice guy" O'Reilly carefully whenever he gets into a tight spot)

I do however watch the channel whenever I can (though of course I also watch many other channels and read the mainstream media as well as the internet media) and mainly for the following reasons: i) I am interested in how modern propaganda systems actually work beyond the rather early ones set up by Goebbels, Pravda and etc. which I also happen think pale by comparison in terms of relative sophistication and insidiousness and tactics. (another thing which is also quite certain is that the Foxy Foxers are very good at what they do and one has to give them a kind of "technical" credit for that. i.e. they have fine tuned their art of misrepresentation, deception, false focus and etc etc.... and have brought it to a whole new level; and secondly , ii) because I am interested in trying to gauge where U.S. public opinion may end up heading, and some of the reasons why. (I am an American but I do not live in the U.S.)

And thirdly I guess I also watch it as a form both of "vaccination" and entertainment.

There have been many times when I found myself breaking out laughing during particular segments. Although I do realize that regrettably that channel is no laughing matter because I am sure it is quite successful at misleading a significant number of people, and it only takes being able to mislead a small percentage to affect the outcome of elections. (which of course they realize perfectly well and is all part of their "name of the game") That is, they know they DO NOT need to convince people like me (it would be impossible anyway even under torture and sedation) or any of the other folks who see right through them, all they have to do is just convince a very small percentage of the population and they've already accomplished their objective.

I would like also to thank here Robert Greenwald and all the other folks at Brave New Films for the very important job they are doing. Those Foxy turkeys (and I always did like thanksgiving dinners!) are pretty well financed as you well know and are working overtime to further hone their skills and will also do absolutely everything in their power to discredit anyone who tries to expose them for what they are. (i.e. a menace to the future of our beloved country, the United States of America)

I supported Bill Clinton-and took plenty of abuse for it-during the long 1990's impeachment charade conducted by the Republicans. As most readers surely know by now, the notoriously glorious blowjobs Clinton received from Monica and his subsequent lying about them merely added fuel to existing trumped charges. In short, while governor of Arkansas Bill had screwed around with an ugly-nosed girl named Paula and lied about it; also, he and his slick spouse Hillary had supposedly been involved in shady but altogether petty real estate transactions in Arkansas. One or more innocent people were tainted by the goings on and went to prison as a result. Another ill and pitiful and negligibly culpable former good friend of Bill and Hillary was thrown under the bus by the Clintons.
A Special Prosector was named by the Republicans to investigate. The guy they appointed couldn't make traction with the allegations so he was shunted aside in favor of--drum roll please--a sexually prurient and dishonest scholar and manhunter named Kenneth Starr. Starr was relentless in his pursuit of righteousness and truth, even to the point of inquiring about the size and shape of Clenton's penis. Hence the term 'Clenis' found it's way into usage.
At the time my former neighbor in Georgia, Rep. Bob Barr, was a member of the House Judiciary Committee and a vociferous enemy of Prez. Clinton. Bob was an affable man in person but as a failed former federal prosecutor he felt he could redeem himself by becoming a member of the House of Represntatives. He was, of course, elected and reveled in his hatred if Clinton. As a republican congressman Barr was a frequent participant on the fair and balanced talk/ fantasy TV program of Geraldo Rivera. Night after night Rivera paraded such fair and balanced guests as Rep.Sensenbrenner, Ann Coulter, Kelly Ann Fitzpatrick and Barbara Olsen and another attorney couple of Clinton-despising fame.
You know the rest of the story. Clinton was impeached but the process failed, he finished his term of office and was idolized by many Democrats including myself. Hillary became went on to become a U. S.Senator from New York and now runs for the Democratic presidental nomination ions. Her opponent in the race is a heavily maligned but bright and capable and articulate young Senator from Illinois named Barack Obama. Obama will most likely become the Democratic standard bearer and go on to win the election. His presumptive opponent will be a former Vietnam War POW who some think deserves the Presidency based on what he endured as a prisoner...' But alas, McCain is already aging rapidly, is veracity challenged, appears to be only slightly more intelligent and capable than that Great American Disaster GWB. He is also a warmonger and envisions another 95 years of conflict in Iraq. He is also palsy with some particularly loathsome Xtian fundamentalist theocrats whose stated goals are to supplant the United States Constitution with the cruelty, bigotry and mores of the Xtian Bible.
However, should the democratic nomination default to Hillary through her ego, dishonesty and alliances with Republican Corporate thugs I won't vote for her either.

I remember a few years ago (the 2004 election?), McAuliffe appeared on "Fox news Sunday" with his RNC counterpart for a debate.

The next week, they read a Viewer Email from someone that noticed McAuliffe "peeking" at his opponents notes. They played the video from the week before in slow-motion where it was clear what he was doing. The entire FNS panel got a good chuckle out of a wanker he was (and apparently still is).

I completely agree with Marlon's comment. I used to watch Keith and Countdown until it became Obama's headquarters. I used to listen to Stephanie Miller on Air America until they started to go overboard and continually demonize Hillary and President Bill Clinton. For what? Terry McAuliffe with his pandering comments to Fox News insults me and any other Democrat who desperately want the Republicans out in 2009. Fox constantly slanders and lies about Democrats, particularly left-wing Democrats. When McAuliffe was the DNC chair, the Democrats lost seats in the Congress and several of the governerships. He is a DLC corporatist who cares more about whether Hillary Clinton gets to the White House than about the success of the Democratic Party or the welfare of this country. Clinton should have dumped this guy a long time ago. I would have had more respect for her had she done so.

I just happened to be watching that night, so I'm not shooting from the hip. FOX's accolaids were EFFUSIVE. All week, I watched all networks rend Clinton short shrift, right down to CNN. In fact Dobbs took a pole to see if we thought coverage was slanted against her, and I forget the exact stat, but over 70% of us think ALL networks have been stacking it against her. I was doing a talk show in Illinois when it was the pivotal state to pass ERA and the state tossed women in exchange for a vote in Chicago's "machine" affecting black politics. Trust history. America would rather have a black man or any man president, rather than a woman. I was dumbfounded when I saw FOX absolutely fawning over Hillary. I'm glad. I thank 'em! But. Democratic leadership should not have compromised its position because of one good report. I expect more from leadership.

It is good to work to create unity in this country of huge divide. Good because: United we stand, divided we fall (and that includes Democrats and Progressives who divide the Democratic party no matter who the candidate is --heaven help us should More-of-the-Same McCain gets elected.) That said, McAuliffe (and others) would be far wiser in their attempts at unity to not go into the lion's den, but instead work with those amenable to unity. No matter how we work to unite or align for the common good of the USA, FOX followers will rarely have their minds changed because they don't have thinking and reasoning skills. They like taking sides, and like what McAuliffe said -- they will use whatever bog fodder they can. I watched a broadcast on CNN one evening, I think it was about someone in the Democratic arena. As I left CNN and was rushing past Fox channel, which I too never watch, I noticed Fox was speaking to this same subject so I stopped and watched to see how they reported it. Why did it not surprise me that instead of the complete story, they chopped off the end making the Democrat look like a horror story instead of the good guy he was! It is quite frightening that Rupert Murdoch owns media that reaches 3/4 of the WORLD's population. How does one stop that run-away train? Certainly by not dividing the only party that can stand up even slightly against him/them. When lies are not popular, when liars become the outcasts, only then it will stop. The liars may call themselves "Christian" but they certainly are not Christ-like. It is good to know that one doesn't have to be a Christian to honor what Jesus taught, and these liars are the anti-Christs themselves.

My wife had to install a chain link fence over the TV screen. With my arthritic hands I have occasionlly hit the wrong button on the remote and accidently tuned into FOX Noize, which immediately has prompted me to throw the nearest available object at the screen.

My husband is a High School Social Studies teacher, so, we flip through all the news channels from 5:30am to 7:00am. We watch what's going on on FIX NEWS so that he will have something to show his students just how far away from the truth "News" can really be. First, they watch pieces from the three cable news networks (CNN,MSNBC,FIX), then they search for the truth. FIX news loses every time.
His point is not to show a preference to one side or the other of an issue, but to show his students how not to be ignorant in what they choose to believe. I wish a lot of adults I know could be as informed as my husband's Senior Social Studies Students.

Fox is owned and operated by conservative right wingers and hence their reporting is going to reflect that. If a news service wants to give an editorial piece then it should be labeled as such. News should be objective and not slanted. However, this goes back to the days of muckraking with the likes of William Randoph Hearst. The likes of FOX, Rush Limbaugh and Richard Mellon Scaife are trying to poison the democratic primary campaign. After listening to 10 minutes of Rush Limbaugh's radio show the other day listening to him talk about his chaos campaign (or should I say KAOS campaign), I realized why Scaife may have endorsed Hillary Clinton. FOX being quick to declare Clinton the winner in Pennsylvania is consistent with this. Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton should be more careful with whom they associate with.

I'm wondering if you watch fox. I dont like others making my decisions for me, so i took about 6 months and watched almost solely fox as my "News Channel". What i derived from watching it is this. I do not see it as 'right wing' adn if i did that would not be what bothered me. it is that it is just so uncommonly devisive. if someone spoke to me on the street like this i could only conclude that they were nutzz. it remindes me of tuning into Wally George when i was a teen and witnessing his slow but definate deteroration into the abyss of fear and hate. im not sure how old you are so you may not remember him. fox and the people on it are out of their minds. and for the record, i am a conservative. it is truly shameful that they dont employ more intelligent minds over there.

The PIPA study (Program on International Policy (PIPA) at the University of Maryland and Knowledge Networks) was based on a series of seven US polls conducted from January through September of 2003. The study reveals that before and after the Iraq war, a majority of Americans had significant misperceptions and these are highly related to support for the war in Iraq - and their news source.

To be specific, FOX News watchers were the most ignorant of the facts. 80% of them had 1 or more misconceptions, while only 20% had no misconceptions. PBS viewers were almost completed reversed: 23% and 77%.

"Broadcast bias resulted in significant national misperceptions about a major political policy issue -- going to war in Iraq. If the unholy alliance between government and broadcasters is allowed to persist, if broadcast media remain unregulated and unrestrained, then the misperceptions about Iraq are only a harbinger of many more to come. The democratic experiment cannot survive for long if the citizenry is, with state approval, systematically misinformed."

Americans went to war because FOX News lied to them. Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes blamed Americans for being too stupid to know the difference between opinion and hard news. They must be very proud of 'hoodwinking and bamboozling' Americans.

Holden Caulfield says we don't even watch FOX. I've seen enough of it to know what it's about. I can't watch it for long, or my blood pressure will skyrocket. Just tonight I tried watching and they started defaming Rev. Wright again. Lying that he "threw Obama under the bus." I saw the entire program on Bill Moyers, and he did nothing of the kind. They lie and distort, and worse...people actually believe them (because they are "journalist" and they wouldn't lie...right? My wife usually makes me turn it off when I try to watch, because I end up screaming at the TV!

I never watch FOX; why anyone would is beyond me. I watch only local news coverage on TV. For national news coverage that is in depth and accurate, I rely on NPR (National Public Radio). Most of the time the reporting is straight and accurate, and when it isn't, they correct it. NPR also has excellent news talk shows that do a great job of unbiased analysis.

It is very upsetting to me that they are given the status of an actual NEWS organization when they are doing so much to damage the country. Please google the media stats for this election (they have been kept for all presidential elections since 1988 by a non-partisan group whose name I can't recall just now). As it turns out (and believe me it was a huge surprise), FOX has been the most even in its reporting of both the dem candidates and has really outdistanced all other MSM on reporting of issues rather than the horse race. I quit watching Fox long ago. However, I have not seen fair and balanced on any of the cable networks. Cafferty is very Obama--shame on CNN--Olberman is very Obama---shame on MSNBC. I can't think of a pro Hill journalist at the moment, but I'm sure one is out there. If any of these journalists were doing their job, I wouldn't have a clue who they support. A year ago, I would have joined you in bashing Fox, but from what I am observing in the media, I am not seeing fair and balanced on any cable networks.

If McAuliffe represents Hillary Clinton's approach to the truth, then his slip into a Fox commercial suggests a very disturbing tendency towards short-term memory loss for opportunistic self-aggrandizement--another case of 'I remember running for cover in Bosnia' because it makes a good story and it's what the audience wants to hear. But what I really want to hear (and what I hope the American audience wants to hear as well) is honesty, integrity and a thoughtful analysis of the facts. Corporate-owned media as a whole is detrimental to democracy. If the news are owned by powerful, greedy corporations, who will inform the public truthfully? CNN is with Obama and Fox News is with Hillary, which means both networks are biased and both candidates represent the corporate elite, just like both the Democratic and Republican parties make up the Big Business party together.

Which is not to say that there are not individual heroes within this corporate structure. Brave journalists, honest politicians, etc. But these make up the very small minority and are crushed by the system as quickly as possible.

They constantly slander Pastor Wright, though I personally agree with some of the issues he has with The U.S. Government, but Fox won't let up. They are becoming so annoying and boring I turn them off when they start slandering. Obama's remarks about the guns and churches was taken out of context; I understood what Obama meant, but Fox made such an issue of the remarks just before the PA Primary. Hannity and Colmes are disgusting. I just tune them out because now they are so boring. They are not giving the news; they give their ignorant, biased, opinions. Bill O'Reilly does alot of negative input, but not as much as Hannity and Colmes. They are deliberately trying to hurt Obama, who is so much more intelligent, experienced, and has class which Hannity and Colmes do not. I would like to punch Hannity in the nose. Wire up his mouth.

I was a strong supporter of Clinton when he was in power, but since I've learned a lot of the pro-corporate activities he spoused, like the ones that benefited Clear Channel's take over of more than 1300 radio stations obliterating the local radio markets to the detriment of US citizens, and the NAFTA eal that has been terrible for Mexico's majorities, benefitting only the rich elites. FOX News is selling a product. they are taking news clips of public figures, editing them, and then reassembling them out-of-context in order to fit the commentary that they are supplying for their viewers, in hopes that people will buy what they are selling. they make it seem legit by mixing it all in with a lot of unedited, 'straight' news as well, the idea being that, when people buy into the fact, they will also adopt the fiction, and ( from their perspective, hopefully ) not be able to distinguish between the two. fortunately, we live in a country where both sides of issues are allowed to be publicly expressed, even if the 'pro and con' arguments on these issues are not always evenly distributed. but, let's not pretend for a second that 'Democrats are bad / support our sponsors' is sustantively any different than 'FOX News is bad / support our videos'. There may be a difference as to the product that is actually being sold, but the tricks and gimmicks used to sell it are pretty much the same, on either side of the fence.

I have such loathing for FOX News that I rarely watch it, but I have no doubt that it exists SOLELY to articulate and propagandize an extreme-rightwing view that doesn't not hold up under any real scrutiny at all. FOX"News" is propaganda, plain and simple... Hillary is so desperate at this point that it seems she is grasping at straws to become something she really is not. I personally think the hatchet job done on them in the 1990s by Rush Limpblob and others was because they are so moderate, they are Republican lite! I think it is time she bows to the inevitable.

Actually, I am so turned off by the RABID OBAMANIA going on at my once favorite cable news outlet, MSNBC, that I'm glad to hear that Faux News is doing this.I won't go so far as to actually watching Fixed Noise for more than a few minutes at a time, though. I've switched to CNN, who, although there are a number of Obamatized 'journalists' , like Gloria Borger,is much more balanced, in terms of presenting both pro & anti Hillary & Obama coverage.
Maybe if MSNBC (& sadly, AAR)hadn't turned into Obama campaign surrogates, people like McAuliffe wouldn't feel the need to even mention Fixed Noise on such a positive light.

I, too, blocked FOX from my TV long ago. However, I take care of a man who watches FOX all too often, so I am forced to the exposure. FOX is the epitome of sensationalism. It is obvious, over and over that FOX cares about "shock factor" reporting much more than legitimate reporting of the truth. I call it "FAUX NEWS"... a comedic side-show that likens the made-up news of Saturday Night Live. At any moment, I expect that Chevy Chase and Jane Curtain might roll on screen. The biased reporting of FAUX NEWS puts it into a league of it's own...a league devoid of even the smallest hint of journalistic integrity. The fact that a prominent Clinton-ite would infer that FAUX NEWS deserved any kudos as a legitimate reporting entity proves how entrenched Hillary is within the problems of the powerful in America. I must say I thought Obama did very well with Chris Wallace, and it would be hard to say that this (04/27) interview was not fair & balanced. That said, it seems to me that while one could not say McAuliffe - who is being well paid by Fox - is being used; he can be said to be doing what he can to use right-wing media to elect Clinton, the candidate that this segment of the media quite obviously would like to see run in the fall general election against McCain.

Actal journalism reports on an election, comments on an election, analyzes an election. But "calling an election"?!

If McAuliffe were as enthusiastic about the real voting issues and continuous problems that have been rampant in each and every state's primary, and that include confusing new voter ID laws irregularly and sometimes illegally enforced, improperly trained poll workers, registered voters missing from lists, shortages of staff and machines and ballots, long lines, voter intimidation, and the stubborn clinging to voting machines that have long since proven to be hackable, unreliable, and unverifiable and that have resulted in people not voting, votes not counted at all, and incorrect and unverifiable vote tallies, as he is about who pre-guesses an election's winner first, then we could forgive him.

A critical national election is not a game of "Jeopardy," in which the winner is the one who pushes the button first and yells out the correct answer. May I suggest McAuliffe devote the rest of his career to hosting a game show. Please.

There should be a press comittee like other countries already have in place.

Faux News did a story about how the Iraq War is good for Wall Street.

They also actively encouraged torture early in the war. They hosted on their Faux news report a braying blaring a**h***, who appeared to be a torturer. This jerk actually decried the Judge Advocate General for investigating torture. This knuckledragger blared, "let's hope we can some good information out of these captives without the JAG getting involved." Most disgusting FOX moment I've seen recently; Sean Hannity "debating" Phil Donahue about Iraq and other issues. When Phil used their own tactics against them of out yelling and interupting Sean, (except Phil had relvent facts and Issues), Hannity was reduced to, "Well Saddam gassed his own people!" Donahue rightly pointed out that happened in the 1980s when we supported them, and provided some if not all the chemicals and weaponry. Hannity kept yelling irrelevant & misleading items, while Donahue out yelled him with facts and relevent issues. Hannity was reduced to a 12 yr old child and all he could keep saying way, "Saddam gassed his own people. Want me to show the photos!? I'll show the photos!"

They both live in denial that Fox is behaving favorably toward Clinton, only because they are setting her up for a hit in the fall should she be the democratic nominee. From what I know to be happening, the lack of reporting and/or refusal thereof, amounts to a violation of several laws and my constitutional right to freedom.
The 'fact' that I have been personally involved in so called reports, allows me to see exactly the BS Fox and all the 'others' put out.
One example: the support the troops catch phrase used by so many and especially by the administration and news people...is BS!
Several lawyers were sent by the justice department to California recently filing suit against veterans benefits! This was sent to all the media...the silence was deafining...
The only entity to validate PTSD in legal and rights terms are the insurance companies...go figure.
It goes on and on, but these are just a couple of my reasons for not watching, sending scathing e's, and cute notes to the pukes on air.
There is some change comin from several places all at once. I doubt these out of touch dinks have any idea...but it's comin!

I keep hearing people say that Limbaugh and Co. want Hillary to get the nomination because they think they can beat her. That’s what I thought at first too. But now I suspect that they want her to win because she’s ONE OF THEM. She tells us who she is all the time like with her recent threat to nuke Iran. Here's another little clue from Hillary's own mouth:

In the Feb. 26th debate Hillary said, “You know, we've just been talking about Russia. We could have gone around the world. We could have gone to Latin America and talked about, you know, the retreat from democracy.”

RETREAT FROM DEMOCRACY?!? What on Earth does Hillary mean by a retreat from democracy in Latin America? What about Michelle Bachelet, Rafael Correa, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Evo Morales and Fernando Lugo? Even Hugo Chávez and Daniel Ortega, although they’ve been demonized, the people who elected them seem very happy with them. When Chávez tried to end term limits the people voted against it. Democracy worked! It seems to me that democracy is ADVANCING in Latin America.

I don’t think in terms of Democrats vs. Republicans anymore. After pondering what John Perkins says in “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” I now think in terms of The Corporatocracy vs. The People. Hillary proves to me over and over that she is with The Corporatocracy. It’s true that Obama has had to play the corporate game to get where he is and I’m not happy with many of his statements or votes. But Hillary acts like a cheerleader for them and she seems to be actively working to elect McCain.

@Keith Blobberman: Carol Ann Boris appears to have it more-or-less spot-on. I'm also white, but my views are more in line with Rev. Wright's than just about anyone in the political "mainstream." Some of what he says may be nonsense, but a lot of the rest points to some pretty ugly truths that many Americans need to hear, even if they don't want to. Kinda like how a lot of white racists in the 60s needed to hear that segregation was immoral.

Carol also manages to be consistently coherent, whereas I still can't decipher half of what you said.

Reverend Wright is divisive and racist. In his speech to the NAACP, his whole theme was “different does not mean deficient.” He talked about how blacks and whites were “different” in everything from language to music to religious worship. He even imitated the sharply different styles ofcollege marching bands. Michigan State, he demonstrated, simply did not “move” on the field the way the Grambling Band did.

Now I wonder what that was supposed to mean! The inescapable answer is that a band that is comprised mainly of African-Americans has better rhythm than a predominantly white band does. That not a racist and divisive comment? Can you imagine the outcry if a Clinton supporter said the same thing? I supposed the basketball analogy is next?

Months ago, the stupidity and cheapness of this network got to me and I deleted the Fox noise machine from my channel selections. My remote control happily skips past and now I'm not bothered anymore. It's only when I listen to Stephanie Miller or Keith Oelberman, who replay various Fox nuts (to make points about their inanities) that I am reminded of the mindless inadquacy of that group.

FOX NEWS incitement to hate and fear the Senator from Illinois, is pernicious and could have terrible consequences.
As they continue to pump their toxic drivel into the airways,
some minds are going to be overcome. Some people will be persuaded that the senator really is the enemy within.
What if an American, so convinced, were to do what he or she saw as their patriotic duty ...and take matters into their own hands ? What if this model American were, with God at their side and a gun in their hand take aim at Senator Obama ?

I think that all of us who support Obama,s bid for the White House share a deep fear that he may meet the fate as Lincoln,

Fox for the most part is not fair and balance when
it comes to politics and the Democrats. In the beginning of the Presidential race, John Edwards
would not agree to a debate on Fox, most other
Democrats also agreed.


Since John Edwards suspended his campaign, I guess all bets were off. First I noticed Dennis K do an interview, then Hillary Clinton, I think
Bill Richardson did also. Rupert Murdock has contributed to Hillary's campaign. I don't know if he has contributed to Barack Obama's campaign. But last weekend he agreed to appear for an interview with C. Wallace, ending his standoff.

It seems the two Presidential candidates are now
agreeing to appear because they feel they need more exposure, and Fox gets more viewers than CNN MSNBC, so I guess they feel it's worth the Fox spin they will get on their appearances. However, I do feel, that the other cable stations
aren't much better when it comes to fair and balanced. They don't report the news non-bias, each gives their own opinion on the issues they are reporting on, so I yell at the screen and the pundits, when not occasionally writing a reply on their blogs.

Why is it that if there is one non-liberal media outlet, it's the only one that is "unfair," "unbalanced" and "inaccurate"? I'm glad there is at least the one out there that doesn't just shove the liberal rubbish down America's throat. If it is sometimes noticibly leaning to the right, at least it's great see that the liberal news media doesn't completely monopolize the industry.

It sickens me to the core to realize just how far FOX would go to corrupt this election; much like how Doug Christie a.k.a. Rush Limbaugh runs his own immoral campaign against a fair election campaign. However, it saddens me to think that the very mention of differences according to race (or maybe class) would pull such hostility from our souls. Make no mistake; the reason why this story dominates FOX news is that Rupert Murdoch knows that much like sex, hate sells. He also knows that the accusation is more important than the explanation or the truth; the accusation introduces doubt. This is the reason why Obama is slipping in the polls… not due to his stand on anything pertinent, but simply because he and his wife were members of a church where the Pastor made divisive statements. My choice of the word “divisive” in describing his words is probably the main problem in America regarding race: Blacks and Whites sometimes see things differently. Someone else might listen to the bulk of Reverend Wright’s words and see pure racism: while I personally do not. Now I will say that I haven’t heard all of Reverend Wright’s sermons, however I have attended enough churches to realize that the Pastor usually speaks of the concerns of his “flock” or congregation. For instance, a white congregation would think that the invention of a disease to exterminate a group of people would seem preposterous (the accusation surrounding AIDS); however, when those in the black community remember the actions involving the “Tuskegee Syphilis Study,” a preposterous sounding story would gain validity.

It is sad that we still live in a racially polarizing land; however, it doesn’t have to be an ignorant one. There’s nothing wrong with asking a question regarding a situation, instead of accepting a lie or a half-truth. If we gain wisdom from situations instead of falling for the race trap laid by FOX and their ilk, this country would be far more understanding and far less hostile.

This comment is late in coming because I have been working every day long hours just to pay the rent and keep afloat -- now I have a couple of minutes because I cannot sleep. I am disgusted about the pandering of the Clinton camp to the worst of so called journalistic media -- FOX. FOX contributes more to the dumbing down of America, the fostering of divisive idealogy, and manulistic hateful and snide from their commentators. FOX sells hate and prejudice and half truths (or non-truths). I will never support any or buy product advertised on that channel. The Reverand Wright avalanche is thoroughly despicable. If any thing is "un-American" it is certainly FOX. Our founding fathers are turning over in their graves to see what depths and slime the have sunk to.

I saw your little promo film on youtube and it is highly edited. Fox shows both sides yet you edited out the side you did not want shown so you can make fox look bias. You could do the same with CNN with enough interviews and footage editing but I don't see that from you because they may support the same cause or candidate as you. Do you guys actually watch fox news? I think it is quite possible that because the network news media has been so liberal in recent decades that once a non-bias news organization comes on the radar, it seems to you that it is extremely bias because you are not getting the complete and exclusive ear candy you are used to. You may not even know that is what is happening. You should also look in to getting a link from Barak Obama's wesite to your website. I guess it is okay to delve into Hillary Clinton and John McCain's lives but we cannot do so with Obama because it may be construed as racism. Give me a break. You want the end of racism, we treat him as we do all political contenders in this era and dig and dig. He is not immune just because he is black, the Presidency does not adhere to affirmative action policies. You actually have to get the best score to get it. On second thought, maybe the administrators of this website are intelligent. These excerpts show someone bashing Clinton or Obama, but what is fails to show is the Democratic strategist who is also in the studio or on the split screen. If the media is so liberal how come they did not call the administration out on all the lies about Iraq? At least CNN and others try to be neutral, but Fox doesn't even pretend. CNN is not the one who is calling people "un-American" because they have different viewpoints.
