Most of these restaurants that show the "news" run the Fox channel all the time. When I talked to some of the managers of these restaurants, they seem unaware that Fox has a biased viewpoint. I feel alone. How can we affect this bombardment of republican propoganda by businesses. If you recall, Walmart invited their customers nationally to watch the election results in their stores on Fox News. I would be interested any comments about this issue from others.

Thank you for the work you do.

Re: More reasons to take action

I believe holy heartedly about doing my part to be more eco-friendly or "green" to combat global warming. One thing I have done was to change out 15 lightbulbs in my house from incandescent to the Compact Fluorescents. A must for anyone who wants to save some energy and plenty of money!

Now the story, I was outragged when I saw this!
I am not positive that this story was on the air but I do have the link to the Fox website's article. It's cool to see that so many different, often conflicting, viewpoints are posted here. Some people support, some people oppose. Would the people who say this site is trying to take away the freedom of speech please notice this? Brave New Films does not have to post your comments which say how much crap you think they produce, but they do. Isn't this kind of a direct contradiction to what you're saying about them?

I also notice LOTS of name calling and mudslinging. Because that always solves problems...

Personally, I do not follow a particular party. The people I choose to represent me politically are picked by their indiviual ideaology, goals, standards, and past achievements and affiliations, and how they fit me. This means a lot of background research. I don't think anyone should get information from one source- how easily is that taintable? Even if it's a very "credible" source. There was a comment a while back compairing several "liberal" news organizations to control by Hitler, Stalin, etc. But this was made a person who only watches Fox. Does this person also scour the web to find information (NOT personal blogs, but actual accounts and reports) confirming what Fox states in its reports? Or rather, very similar to a dictatorship, is ALL information coming from the "one and only" source? It just doesn't make sense how you could be so blind!

To add to that, Fox News has *ADMITTED* to broadcasting lies! This is not some third party group such as Brave New Films coming along and telling you that Fox News lied; it is straight from Fox themselves that they **lied**. They lied. Period. There is an official statement from them telling *the world* that even though they present themselves as a credible news organization, they lied. Even if only one, it took a lawsuit to get the truth out. Remember when Connie Chung broke the rules of good journalism? She was blacklisted and her credibility was destroyed. Why not Fox?

People often want to be handfed information rather than seek it out for themselves. Whether or not you watch Fox, do some research. Find out for yourself. Check out sources from *all sides* of the story. If you still agree with Fox, fine, but at least you are educated and can intelligently say *why* you support them. This will earn you a bit more clout than just saying "those gdamn liberals are trying to take away my rights!" with nothing to back it up. Americans *need* to be informed!!

To me Fox has no more credibility than those ridiculous yellow journalist papers at the check out stand. And their journalism is as believable as the amazing birth of the half alligator baby to a woman in Louisiana. (If you have a half alligator child, I'd love to talk!)

To all the Ginas: if you have such disdain for this site, why do you return to say the same thing over and over again?
Karen

Re: More reasons to take action

I SEE THAT YOU NEED IDEAS GIVEN TO YOU SO YOU CAN CUT AND EDIT TOGETHER SMEAR VIDEOS ON FOX. Thousands and thousands of actual climatologists, not scientists that don't specialize in that field have spoken up to expose this garbage.

This is the same over-hyped knee jerk reaction that has many people being forced to recycle, which if you have read "ANY" report that isn't put out by the liberal machine, is a COMPLETE waste of time, money, energy AND creates far more pollution than making the material from scratch.

If you disagree with any of this, that's fine, go drink your koolaid, vote for a succubus whore who will ruin this country and bash one of the finest presidents this country has ever had.

Yawn.

Your liberal garbage bores me.

Re: More reasons to take action

Why aren't the Democrats calling for a return to the 55 miles per hour speed limit to combat global warming caused by polution?

Re: More reasons to take action

Fox puts forth such hyperactive energy I can't bear to watch for any length of time. The bells, whistles and constant jangles are designed to jerk the person's emotions around, keeping them in a hyper state so that they're like people on speed all of the time. MSNBC Is now falling prey to that. The Fundamentalist Conservative fringe is obviously doing a gradual takeover of MSNBC just like the 'trickle down' Conservatives have taken over CNN and ABC. There never was a liberal media. There was a balanced, truthful emotionally detached media on all networks being gradually replaced now by Right Wing Radicals. This nation needs a lot of prayer for the restoration of balanced, factual and truthful reporting in all of our media.

Re: More reasons to take action

I just went to the FOX "News" website to watch the latest O'Reilly smear on the DailyKos. Before the video starts, you have to watch a video ad for American Express. While the video plays there is a static ad for American Express in a panel next to the screen. This caused me to think of a couple tactics that might be used to bring pressure on Fox advertisers.

1. I get lots of junk mail with offers for credit cards, including American Express. From now on, I'll be sending them a note back, in their postage paid envelope, saying I'm declining their offer because of their ads on Fox. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone did that?

2. A more aggressive tactic would be to encourage people to apply for any no annual fee American Express card offer they get, then cancel the card after they get it, citing the Fox ads as their reason. People might also be encouraged to apply for, and then cancel, Home Depot's Master Card, which can be applied for through the Home Depot website.

Some people have posted comments on this website suggesting that it is enough to just not watch Fox. I don't watch Fox, but it is not enough. By posing as legitimate journalists, Fox misinforms my fellow citizens and arouses them to act in ways that is contrary to nation's interests. The effects of their poisonous lies can not be escaped. They pollute people's minds, and like any polluter they need to be reformed or stopped.

Re: More reasons to take action

Ignore "FAUX News." Fox has been attacking liberals and democrats ruthlessly for years. It's about time they are getting back what they have dished out. I have a new idea. "Fox attacks Hillary" Fox is becoming very worried about Hillary's success. Fox attacks Ron Paul. Fox attacks liberal blogs. Fox has a transparent agenda and thanks to FoxAttacks and the Internet, the windows to truth are becoming defogged rapidly. Why is it that everytime someone from either of the extreme sides of political thought in America disagrees with another's idea, they think it should be silenced. You would think that this being a left wing democratic website, that it would support free speach, but that is not the case.

I say if you don't like Fox News, just change the channel, that is what I do when I don't like what is on. In this day of 500+ channels of mind numbing television you can surely find something on that will entertain you. TV channels are paid by advertisers because of the number of potential customers that watch them. If less people watch, the channel receives less money from advertisers, waalaaa! Personally I will continue to watch Fox News, because I find them to be the most fair and balanced of any news channels. Notice I did not say they were fair and balanced, but the most fair and balanced.

Clay
A true down the middle Independent

Re: More reasons to take action

As usual, you love to dish it out but you just can't take it. It is interesting that the big money behind foxattacks.com feels it has to attack and distort what is shown on Fox. Tell me how many times you see multiple sides of issues shown on the other major media -- virtually none. You get one sided biased opinions, but on Fox New you get multiple opinions and can draw a rational conclusion -- I guess that is what scares left wing groups: the people learning multiple sides of an issue and making up their own mind! That would be a great topic for Bravenewfilms -- exposing the left wing agenda of the major media conglomerates!

Re: More reasons to take action

Hey Libs....Grow Up!
