FOX Attacks!: More reasons to take action

  • Kevin Reardon · 2 years ago
    I agree with the sentiment but not the approach.

    It is just so incredibly simple.

    Democrats should treat Fox News and its correspondents as they would RNC Hecklers - period. Nothing else, but hecklers.

    We all agree they are not legitimate, so why would you try to change them. Isn't that the same as asking the RNC to start running candidates that will canvass with the Democrats?

    It's not a complex issue and the more that we can show some true party discipline on this matter, the better will be the pervasive view of the right wing echo chamber as nothing but obvious propaganda to all but the most un-intelligent and/or the most rabidly loyal.

    When are you releasing your exposé of CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC's, left-wing biased reporting? You guys need to grow up and get in the game instead of masturbating on the sidelines and hoping the cheerleaders notice you.
  • Jerry Mazza · 2 years ago
    I think BraveNewFilms should do what it does best in relation to Fox: document their media distortions in a film. Call it "The Fox in the Henhouse" or whatever you like. But they are a potent disinformation force, getting more potent by the day, given the jingoistic, simplistic thinking Americans love so much. So, take them on. I'll be happy to help you.

    I was going to say something else, but when I saw the comment above, it occurred to me that the most potent weapon the media uses besides ridicule is indifference.

    When Dennis Kucinich took Ted Koppel to task for the stupid, horse race instead of substantive questions he was asking during the 2004 Democratic primary debate, ABC pulled their reporters from his campaign the next day.

    Senators and congressmen can do press conferences on serious proposals or investigations of major Bush administration crimes and most people would never know they happen because they are ignored by the media.

    It is time to use this powerful weapon against the media itself. The Democrats could start with a month without Fox News boycott, and go on regular networks to explain why they are doing it, using Outfoxed clips.

    At a minimum, they should draw attention to the coordination of talking points through the Fox Memo and Grover Norquist's weekly right wing media meeting.
  • Professor Smartass · 2 years ago
    Can you put a big screen TV on the steps of the capitol, play these attack dog clips, and ask if anyone has comparable ones of Fox going after Republicans?
  • Prizgar · 2 years ago
    This is a typical Progressive project. We love tinkering around the edges rather than attacking the source of the problem. Forget the advertisers, forget petitions, if you want to be effective, then go for the jugular -- stop all democratic politicians from appearing on Fox or associating themselves with it in anyway.

    To be specific:

    Elected Dems across the board should boycott Fox. They should be told to do so by the leaders of the party. This should become news. This will force an open discussion about the network and its practices, and it will become known as the joke that it is even to Joe Sixpack. "But how is this done?"

    1.All Dems boycott it and its "reporters" are not allowed at Dem functions and events.

    2.It becomes common knowledge that Fox is being deliberately frozen out by Dems.

    3.The freezeout becomes its own news story. 60 Minutes does a story on this in which elected Dems are asked on camera to explain if Fox has been frozen out (yes). When asked why, they explain it in clear and unambiguous language (not a legitimate news organ).

    4.The world sees Fox for what it is and Joe Sixpack is now too embarrassed to even admit to his coworkers and friends that he watches it because this makes him look like an idiot. Ratings slowly dwindle.

    So, your target is the Democrats who keep appearing on Fox for more and more abuse. If its abuse they love, begin abusing them for appearing on Fox.

    To win a lawsuit vs ex FOX reporters, FOX won the suit via "We lied in our news reports
    and that is not against the law."

    If as we all believe Fox is an arm of the Republican party, then why on earth are Democrats willing to associate themselves with Fox? No matter how much Democrats suck up to Fox, they are never going to change. They are there to serve the needs of our enemies, and no Democrat should appear on that network.
  • Alex Zeese · 2 years ago
    In MD the former Gov. was able to get the Baltimore Sun's reporters press pass revoked. Why can't the Democrats simply do that? Shit I bet Denney K would do it. Is there anyway one can file a suit to say that its liable to call ones self a news outfit when they are not?
  • Michele · 2 years ago
    If you could get on one of the few liberal TV programs--I can think of only two, "Now" on PBS and "Countdown with Keith Olbermann"--to discuss your films, that would get Fox News' distortions into the awareness of many more viewers. AND, if you can be highlighted on a C-Span show, maybe "Road to the White House," that would be helpful, as well.
  • Gina · 2 years ago
    I love Fox news, I'm tired of you liberals trying to take away our 5th amendment rights, and push your left wing ungodly agenda on us. This is total bullshit.

    The Democrats could start with a month without Fox News boycott. I'd love to see that happen, I'm fed up with demoncrats and could care less about hearing any more of their lies and deceit.

    I changed my party affiliation and voted republican.

    You people are dangerous, you'll eventually see that.

    Wouldn't it be great if the major news media would feature those who are doing a good job instead of all the constant negativity we get.

    Even tho' the majority of congress accepts huge amounts of money from lobbyists, there must be some congress persons who are accomplishing some good.

    BIG changes are coming,

    I can't help but think that this is one of the worst ideas I've seen. I completely agree that Faux News is nothing but a conservative mouthpiece and definitely not a shred of respectability. I just feel that paying ANY amount of attention payed to Faux News is the absolute last thing we should do. Nothing would please me more than to see Faux News evaporate into ratings oblivion.

    Please, please, do not continue with this campaign - it would only benefit Faux News to give them undeserved attention.
  • Stephen Sideroff · 2 years ago
    FOX is broadcasting on PUBLIC airwaves - owned by the people, not FOX. They have a responsibility to be impartial. The public/ie government has the OBLIGATION to revoke their license if they do not uphold these requirements.
    Why is no one in congress addressing this issue?
  • David Hughes · 2 years ago
    I love Robert Greenwald's work. Just one suggestion: please be careful not to lose credibility (and my support) by appearing to support democrats. As bad as most republicans are, most democrats, like Clinton, Obama, etc. are worse, because they are supposed to provide real opposition and they fail to do that. So in my view, they're the problem.

    By not taking sides you/we stay above that fray and maintain independence and thus, credibility.

    Keep on fighting because the right is collapsing.

    The US networks do not report news that allows Americans to make informed choices. I would like to see a comparison made between what BBC, for example reports and what the US networks report as "news."
  • Don Hayes · 2 years ago
    I can't/won't watch FOX in order to get a list of local sponsors. I don't have the time to watch even "good" TV.

    But if you can supply the needed information, I will be happy to sign petitions against those who advertise on FOX, and to refuse to buy their products, and to send them emails stating that I won't buy their products.

    I agree with the idea that Democratic candidates should not appear on FOX programs, but I also think it is effective to let advertisers know that many do not approve of their support for an organization that promotes hate and suspicion toward Muslims, tries to smear a candidate because of his middle name, etc.
  • Dirty Dawg · 2 years ago
    Agree, agree, agree...attack, attack, attack...fauxnews, that is. Obama's boycott is right on and should be continued, as should every Democratic candidate and/or spokesperson, pundit or loyalist. It's time that we declared war on this bunch and made it clear that their kind of media operation has no place in this country. I mean openly announce that whoever the Democratic nominee ultimately is, one of their first acts will be to bring everything in their arsenal to bare on 'fauxnews'. It needs to be run out of business and the people that work for it should be drummed out of the business, deported and/or jailed. What have we got to lose? Their audience will never vote for any Democrat, much less a black one or Hillary. Just let them keep talking among themselves while the rest of the country 'moves-on'. And make sure everybody knows about it. Make it a topic that everyone needs to take sides on. This is a vile, heinous, perhaps even criminal bunch of carnival barkers (appologies to carnival barkers) that have contributed mightily to our country's downturn...they must be STOPPED!
  • Robin H. Berens (Mr) · 2 years ago
    I am NOT talking about Fox since we do NOT watch their rubbish. I would please like to talk with some one, perhaps Mr Greenwald, since I have an idea for a movie that I believe you will really like and that looks like a natural for you, and dammit I want some credit for the idea. I'm 79 years of age and utterly disgusted with what is happening in this country. Born in the UK, served in the RAF, became a US citizen in 89, if we were thinking of doing so now, we would NOT until some rational change took place. If I sound a little weird its due to opiates since I recently had a rather serious accident

    Hey folks,

    This is not just about Dems vs. Fox, there are a lot of us independents who think FUX news is the worst thing to happen to truth ever. So, foxattacks.com can do a lot to help bring awareness to the majority of Americans, independent thinkers.

    AMEN to Prizgar's excellent solution! (2/22 9:12am) (Stop giving them validity by playing into their facade as a valid news organization.)
    Additionally, being an obviously manipulating media voice, they are actually serving a positive role of making obvious the huge problem our country has in the toxicly biased ownership of the sources that feed us our information mind food (not to mention the sources of our physical body food). For example, those owning the Science Channel subtly but effectively putting out pro-religious right anti-science propaganda.
    America, just certified by UNICEF as dead last of the 21 industrial countries in the health and safety of our children, is becoming even dumber.

    There was a court settlement a few years ago that ended with FOX admitting it lied. But it defended its right to do so with the 1st ammendment. This is fine, but their Press credentials should be revoked. This means that they cannot claim to be a legitimate press ourgaization and shouldn't be able to host any presidential debate.

    FOX is not a legitimate Press org.

    I disagree that the Democratic party and Democratic candidates should just ignore Fox Noise. Ask any school child -- the playground bully only bullies the cowards who won't fight back. Bill Clinton fought back, and that was a good thing. Hasn't anyone absorbed the lesson about Al Gore and John Kerry ignoring the critics? Look how well that tactic worked for them. Democratics ignoring the Fox Noise got us Bush for eight years. IT'S UNAMERICAN TO NOT FIGHT BACK.
  • Gary R. Collins · 2 years ago
    I agree with Kevin Reardon, as above, and can't likely say it better; just counter their silliness with arguments that reflect a capacity for critical thinking. The bigger issue to be confronted, I think, is the general impression among Jill and Joe Suburbia that the big media are liberal. That is the big lie that needs to be countered as much as Fox's aversion to the complexities of reasonable argument.

    Additionally, from my point of view, the only unique justification for the United States as a political entity is the Constitution and its Bill of Rights and the historic progressive struggle for universal application of its tenets. Liberals tend to support it even when inconvenient; Conservatives tend to dismiss its guarantees of civil rights whenever it becomes inconvenient to their own notions of religious or political rectitude. Fox is shallow and pretentious. Let them be hung by their own petard.
  • Gina · 2 years ago
    You're all pissing up a rope, you'll never shut down the #1 news station. You don't find Colmes to be a liberal and pushing his left wing "lost his mind" views? Pullllllleeezze, I flip the channel everytime one high brow speaks.

    You've got NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN on the left, where's the unbalance?

    You just don't want anyone having another opinion that doesn't match your distorted Hitler views. That's the real issue, and it must really be getting to you if you are trying to shut down a tv station but more importantly our right for free speech.

    Pissing up a rope, you'll never win. Go home, pout about it, turn the freakin channel.

    Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox in general divide Americans for ratings and profits. Any concerned citizen or politician

    their absurd programs. Let them preach to

    I agree with Dianne Davis here they are not to be ignored. Fox News fans who have posted messages here would benefit greatly by reading history and connecting the dots. If they did, they might begin to understand the political and economic structure of this country....and by all means exercise critical thinking! I can't imagine that any of them have watched OutFoxed or Iraq For Sale or even WalMart, The High Cost of Low Price.

    Suggestion for Robert Greenwald and his team - Democracy Now this morning discussed how the subject of torture is being sold as a great idea to Americans by using Fox TV shows like "24" and others. Please look into how you might expose how entertainment is being used as a propaganda tool by the Bush Administration and the Republican Party in addition to the news media.
  • Carlos · 2 years ago
    you pathetic moonbats....I am wondering when will you guys put out the same website to attack left wing bias on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, PBS, New York Times, Washington Times.

    Stop crying and whinning. For too long the left has controlled the media.

    Tim Russert-worked for Democrats
    Chris Matthews- worked for Democrats-Jimmy Carter and O'neil
    George Stephanopoulos- worked for Democrats-Clinton

    and the list goes on and on.

    The only reason you don't like Foxnews is because the left can no longer lie to the american people via the media. The left lies that are spread through the media are now challenged and you poor liberals don't like that.

    Isn't amazing Liberals, how you don't mind freedom of speech and the press, as long as the speech and press agree with your left wing views.

    I am very awake, my eyes are wide open. It is the 21st century and You will not take away my freedom of speech rights because I disagree with your political views. You people are losing your base and your mind, that is why this is an issue. People are waking up to the left wing liberal crowd and their very distorted views. Hatred is rampant in this country because of you conspiracy cess pool dwellers.

    You have no respect for our country, our constitution or our freedom. Bit by bit you are trying to take it away. What is it again you are trying to do here? Remove a news channel and their Freedom of Speech rights, because it doesn't jive with your views.....is that it?

    Amrita, as far as connecting the dots.......lmao, please get a new line and do some history reading yourself, especially about what those tyrants did to those who didn't agree with their way of thinking. I dunno, maybe you could start by googling gas chambers, torture, jews, kurds, serbs.....etc.

    I don't need to view left wing conspiracy films to brain wash me or cloud my way of thinking when it's put out there to play on our emotions and benefit someone's pocket. Am I a kool-aid drinker.......no, I am not. I don't think the US is a perfect country, there are many issues that discourage me. But I believe in the US constitution and our right to freedom.

    Apparently you're as clueless as those who think they are going to shut down a freaking national news channel.

    Gwix is absolutely right, we should ignore Fox. But, we can’t. Their rabid lies needs to be exposed, because their ratings are increasing. Those who know what is going on, need to show the Fox followers what they refuse to see.

    Prizgar and Ramsgate are on to something. As long as Fox won’t be truthful, Democrats do themselves a huge injustice, by going on that network. It is noble to attempt to reach the uninformed. But, if everything you say is going to be twisted by some spin doctor to support a one-sided bias, what’s the point? I support the boycott idea 100%.

    Here’s the rub. I’m no psychologist, but it seems pretty clear that boycotting Fox will only shed light on the issue to those who actually watch the other news outlets. How do you reach Gina who is too ignorant or too hypocritical to acknowledge the other side? Is she afraid of the truth exposing the right-wing agenda or is she too ignorant to know how rediculous she sounds? Either way, it sounds like she feels very safe in her little “Fox world” and people like her may tend to not watch anything that is not right-wing based in it’s rhetoric. Gina can’t make an educated decision on what is true, because she refuses to listen to any point of view that she doesn’t share. Gina reminds me of a child running away with their ears covered screaming “la la la la,” so they won’t hear what is being said. If she won’t come out of her shell to openly listen to both sides, she is probably too stupid to understand it and trying to reach her is a complete waste of time.

    I am certain that some of the Ginas out there might admit when they are wrong, if they can keep their hands off the remote long enough to realize what they are witnessing. The realy stupid ones will turn the channel, for fear of the truth tearing down the BS wall that Fox has helped them build around themselves.

    I can’t tell if Gina is ignorant or stupid. Stupid is not being able to understand. Ignorant is not having all the facts in order to make an educated choice on what to believe. I suspect that Gina is only ignorant. But, because she has admitted she doesn’t want to hear both sides, I would not want to waste my time trying to help her understand.

    I guess my rambling here was meant to say that we can’t help all the Ginas out there, if they don’t want to see outside of their self-imposed realities. So, focus on the ones that can comprehend the truth. Boycott Fox!!!

    What's not to love about Fox News? Over there, we are winning the war in Iraq, the government isn't drowning in a sea of red ink, and English is the official language (by God!). On Fox News, the only thing holding us back are the treasonous, pussy liberals and foreigners who just don't get it but still want to climb over our fences to get here, now don't they?

    Over at Fox, if it takes torture to prevent those heathen terrorists, well, that's just fine, and the only people who need to worry about having their phone lines bugged are people with something to hide!

    But Fox News gets it, and when we watch, we can get it too--just like in that old Merle Haggard song--"I'm proud to be an Okie from Muskogee." Smile at that silver-haired lady who greets you at the Walmart door. She gets it too.

    Dishnet, Direct TV and cable companies are the "carriers" of the disinformation disease. They bring this expensive and ugly nuisance programming into our homes against our will and better judgment. They refuse to listen to their paid subscribers. They do not value customer relations. They need a major attitude adjustment.

    In a civilized society, given the number of hours spent in front of the TV, there is a social obligation to the paid subscribers, especially young viewers, to behave in a responsible, respectful manner as they are media and corporate role models.

    The talk show hosts on the Fox network are very poor role models. They pose as educated, white, middle aged adults, yet behave more rudely than 3 a year old throwing a temper tantrum, or a bunch of school yard bullies. Are these the behavioral role models we want entering our living rooms?

    Thus, I think it's important to include the "carriers" in our "get your act together" campaign. I suggest a boycott. Imagine their reactions if we all suspended services for one month--stating Fox News Network as the cause?

    These days, I have all my "untainted news" by good role models delivered to my door, via my iTunes podcast directory.

    I think we should also lobby Congress to provide more oversight of the FCC and go back to the ownership rules of two decades ago. And, we should demand publicly fund public broadcasting, so responsible journalists, doing their jobs properly, are rewarded instead of living hand to mouth.

    Gina, you have to be kidding. Liberals trying to take away your freedom of speech? Nobody's trying to do that, we simply want to expose Fox News for the propaganda arm of the Bush administration that it is.
    And your assertation that we have no respect for the constitition. You are delusional. This president is the one who doesn't respect the constitution. Elimination of Posse Comitatas? Federalization of the National Guard. He's one step away from declaring martial law.

    Mr Greenwald,

    I sent this letter to all the So-Called News Networks. I realize its off topic but you would send it too if you had a relative on his Third Tour of duty in Iraq!!

    Tom

    To: MSNBC & CNN
    From: Concerned Former Viewer

    WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE “NEWS” MEDIA?

    When is the NEWS media going to start reporting REAL NEWS again?

    When did CNN rename their network to Celebrity Non-News Network?

    When did MSNBC change their network acronym to mean Mentally Senseless News aBout Celebrities?

    And forget about FAUX as they are merely an Administration Puppet Network!

    Don’t believe me? Lets think back, shall we?

    Think back to all the in-depth coverage the news media wasted with their coverage of Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah’s couch.

    Remember the round the clock, non-stop, 24/7, non-news coverage about the Missing Bride in Aruba on every so-called “news” station?

    Look at the recent round the clock, 24/7, non-news coverage about a women astronaut in a love triangle who drove 900 miles - in a diaper - from Texas to Florida.

    Now we have the round the clock, 24/7, non-news coverage that continues to this day about some Playboy Stripper who is dead already! Oh, that right. She was rich and not legless like the wounded soldiers who are being mistreated at Walter Reed’s Building 18; so that makes it more “newsworthy"!

    Oh, and let us never forget the "Very Important" gibber gabber that is reported as “news”, which continues to this day, about Britney Spears shaving her freaking head bald? Who can forget the round the clock coverage? How can I ever live from now on? I'm Devastated! NOT!!

    These are just a few of the senseless, wasted time items that get reported round-the-clock as "news". Every minute taken to cover these worthless stories is one less minute for the “news media” to report the “real news” to its viewers.

    Meanwhile, while the inept media corpSE slept…

    We have 21,500+ soldiers getting deployed to Iraq in a SURGE. But how many of you have heard one word about the extra 20,000+ troops that will go with this surge as supporting troops, which means it will really be about 50,000 troops that are getting sent with this surge? Those "real" numbers continue to go UNreported!

    US “News” Networks and Papers have yet to report what The Independent newspaper of the UK reported back on January 7, 2007. With six articles about it that day, The Independent reported how the major oil companies will be getting 30-Year Contracts to drill for oil in Iraq and will be able to keep 70+ percent of the profits. Do a Google of the Major US Papers and TV Networks about this. Surprise, surprise! How many of you have heard even a single word about this on these Celebrity Networks?

    And you believed the war was for Iraqi Freedom and had nothing to do about OIL??

    We have Cheney fleeing the country to Asia while his former chief of staff is about to be found guilty for outing a Covert CIA NOC Agent. Why did The NY Times hold off on their article that was suppose to get printed on Monday of this week about Cheney's involvement in the Libby trial? I had to find that out on the Raw Story website as the TV News media had no time for it!

    And now, thanks to the Dana Priest reports, we have news about Walter Reed Hospital being found to have horrific conditions in Building 18. And with all of this, Bush, Congress, The Pentagon and Four-Star Generals all claim to “know nothing” about this as if they were Schultz or Klink on Hogan’s Heroes!!

    Have all you warmongers and war supporters with your One Dollar Yellow Ribbon magnets on your car’s bumper that read "I Support Our Troops” called your Representative and Senators and screamed at them for allowing this type of treatment to happen to our wounded soldiers?

    What? You say you haven’t heard about these REAL NEWS articles? Oh, you must be a US Television Network News Watcher.

    I strongly suggest you shut your television off and start reading the Internet News; specifically Foreign Newspapers and start watching various Foreign News Podcasts to get your daily dose of “THE REAL NEWS”!!

    Tom

    And then there's the third ally, John Howard in Australia. One better understands Howard's attacking Obama as a Murdoch ploy... spike the race angle from offstage, down-under. Then echo it 'innocently' through the Halls of FOXUSA. Howard is covered apparently, otherwise why drive himself further down in the OZ polls? He looks like a fool there. He's investing in his future... with News Corp.

Leaders who took their countries into an illegal war against the popular will, in collusion with FOX/News Corp Media, are given a seat on the board when thrown out, by a reactionary globalist billionaire owner...
Ring any alarms??

    Has anybody done any investigation about whether there's a connection between the Clinton campaign and these attacks on Obama. See

    I hate to think so, but if it's true, that information should come out early.

    The goal is not to stop the overpaid so-called pundits' at Fox broadcasting out and out, egregious lies. Obama did the exact right thing. I would guess that there are real Fox reporters that are not too happy to be ignored if not actually barred from events, because of the oversized egos of Fox's dilettantes who earn many times more than the real reporters do and do nothing but bloviate.

    I understand that there was some fallout at Fox from the "madrassa" piece. Not much of one, but one nevertheless.

    The message from the Democrats to Fox should be: smear me at your own peril. I'll deal with you on a professional basis only.

    In the meantime those of us who are outraged by this unfair and unbalanced misuse of public airways, how do we get the names of local advertisers for the worst shows?

    There was a radio station lately whose broadcasters screamed and yelled about people who should be assassinated and other hate drivel that used to be illegal on the public airways. The advertisers were identified and clips of the broadcasts were sent to them. The advertisers pulled their ads.

    Advertisers can easily be gotten to when the facts are known. Who wants their product identified with hate mongers and liers?

    In other words, don't go after the whole network,just the worst ones and identify exactly what was broadcast that was so egregious.

    Also, for those of you who drink the Fox piss and think it's nectar: Air America is alive and well. In fact there are many progressive talk shows doing well around the country and getting stronger all the time.

    Liberals are not successful conspirators because we all think for ourselves and do disagree with each other. We are smart enough to check out news sources for their veracity and will call them on it when they screw up. We get our news from many sources.

    Gina - Stalin, Mao and other dictators controlled their press because they were in charge of their countries. Fox is the public relations arm of the Bush Administration. It broadcasts their daily talking points, interviews government-approved "experts", discredits and smears anyone who disagrees, just like Stalin's TASS.

    I have to say, I respect you for putting together and doing some digging for finding this stuff. But to be honest, FoxNews is a pretty good news channel. And sure, you site may have exposed something that they didn't handle in the right manner. But lets be honest, the liberal news channels do a much worse job at presenting the issues. Remember the guy from NBC that said America's militaries are mercenaries??? Is this as bad as saying can a smoker be elected President?

    Furthermore, isn't just not watching a channel that you don't agree with good enough? Why work your ass off to get advertisers to move to other channels. Fox has a much of a right to broadcast their right wing bias as CNN has the right to broadcast their left wing bias. If you don't like it, tune them out. I choose to tune out CNN everyday, because I don't agree with their particular bias.

    This whole concept of not watching (or buying) things you don't like is called capitalism and it works. If everyone in the world stopped watching Fox, well then the channel would cease to exist because it wouldn't be profitable or possible to keep the channel open. So don't fight capitalism.

    BTW, Air America is struggling to make ends meet last time I check, mostly because people tuned them out BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT THEIR CRAP!

    So psst... do something TUNE THEM OUT IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!
  • wmgries · 2 years ago
    If I was to dig up clips of liberal news networks attacking Republicans, would you air them on your site??

    No, I guess that you would not - because hey, you agree with them.

    If the right is collapsing why then did FoxNews become the most highly watched news network?? Its because the Dems won the last election because people stopped supporting Bush's Iraq Strategy not because they don't want small government values.

    So... psst, I'm doing something now, watching FOX NEWS!!!

    Liberals want America to only hear the word according to Liberal and Democrats. They love free speech as long as that speech agrees with the Democrats/Liberals point of view and reality.

    Liberals cant' stand people that disagree with their views, even though Liberals claim the tolerance and open minded flags. It is well known that Liberals are only tolerant and open minded towards people that agree with them. Only a Liberal would call this being tolerant and open minded.

    It is fun to come in here and read what the left wing moonbats have to say.

    You see this is the problem, in the past the media would have been able to destroy Bush and end the Iraq War like they did with Nixon and Vietnam. People forget that the Tet offensive was a massive military success for America and the South Vietnamese, but Walter Kronkite and his accomplices couldn't have that, so they called it a huge defeat and failure. Their false reporting about the Tet Offensive was the turning point where America's opinion about Vietnam changed, why? Because the media lied just like they have lied and lied and lied and lied and lied about Bush and Iraq. While the left wing media has done a great damage to the war effort and to Bush, they have not been able to destroy Bush like they did Nixon and this kills Liberals.

    Most of the media is but an extension of the Democrat and Liberal attack machine and they hate it when someone doesn't play by their rules. Let us not forget that long before Bush, the liberal media and Democrats have called any and all Republican Presidents idiots, dumb, uneducated, etc, etc. For Liberals and the media General Eisenhower, the greatest General to ever exist in America was an uneducated idiot. It is a very old liberal media and Democrat trick to try to dumb down the Republican Presidential candidate. Don’t forget that the media was completely silent about John Kerry actually receiving worst grades than George Bush. They praised Kerry, called him an intellectual, yet they attacked Bush for having a C average in college. They never bother to report that Kerry’s grades were actually lower. Just like with Barrack Obama now. The media and the Liberals have attacked Bush for supposedly doing cocaine in the 1960s. Now that Obama is running and he has admitted to having done cocaine, where is the Liberal media attacking Obama for doing drugs? Or just like with Clinton, President Clinton never served in Vietnam, in fact he left the USA and went to Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union to protest the Vietnam War. Just like Bush, Clinton sent American troops into harms way, neither the media nor the Liberals seemed to mind that Clinton hadn’t served at all. Yet they call into question Bush’s right to send troops into harms way because he served in the National Guard. I mean the liberal media hypocrisy goes on and on.
    I take it that the people that have started this website are counting on the usual ignorant liberals. How truly sad.

    FOX is tied to the right wing of the Republican Party. One of the common threads here is money. You, we, should do everything possible to tie the advertisers with the worse abusing commentators. Maybe at the end of a You Tube clip the logos of those specific programs national sponsors might be shown.

    Hey, there's a surefire way for all people to figure out which media sources, if any, air factual information or not. Subject the assertions of every news story to careful critical thinking scrutiny. Do some research and check the claims against actual research and facts. Assess the rhetoric and learn how to detect biased language, etc.

    Any thinking person knows FOX is entertainment. Sadly, way too many people don't get that. Usually they are the ones who are not motivated or educated enough to tell the difference between truth and what they want to believe. And that, in a nutshell, is why so many people bother watching it. Hence the ratings, if we are willing to believe they were accurate or objective...

    Perhaps if a truly ethical journalistic media source that wasn't funded by one of the increasingly few power-hungry corporations gobling up all the outlets came along, FOX would crumble under the scrutiny.
    But don't count on it.
    The masses don't really want the truth. Which is why they medicate with myth and stories.

    Mr. Carlos wrote the above comment, that we only want the liberal and democratic voice heard. First of all, why are you on here? This website is for informed people who want to take our country back from these tyrants who have hijacked it from the American people. Mr. Carlos, did you know that in 2006, the GAO said that the Bush administration had spent $1.6 billion dollars on advertising and public relations just from 2003 through the second quarter of 2005. Mr. Carlos, do you not pay taxes? Do you not ask why in the world is our president spending so much money on propaganda? Who is he trying to convince? Think and research before you speak. It is your job to investigate and find out for yourself.

    Far too many of our fellow citizens get their "news" from Fox --- and a very good reason ‎why it continues to take Americans so long to discern the truth. That said, I think we ‎should demand that the FCC set "news worthy" standards for broadcasting stations that ‎advertise they provide 24 hour news. ‎

    In the meantime, Fox should be sued for maliciously politicizing issues that has ‎blackened the name of American democrats, exposed liberals to contempt, ridicule, ‎humiliation, and chagrin --- perhaps even endangering their lives. FNC’s defamatory ‎statements are responsible for the partisanship that now infects our country. ‎

    Fox should be arrested for intentionally inciting subversion and making false statements ‎of fact by alleging their pundits are providing the news, spewing hatred, intolerance, ‎racism, and misogyny across the airwaves. At the very least the Democratic Party should ‎file a class action lawsuit on behalf of every democrat in America for the defamatory ‎statements published by Fox, constituting Slander Per Se when spoken orally and Libel ‎Per Se in written form. ‎

    The FCC has allowed America's free press to be shackled and consolidated, creating a media ‎oligopoly more interested in lining their pockets by providing cheap, offensive sensational entertinment for the "news." ‎Democracy cannot survive without responsible journalism because the TRUTH does not exist. It is imperative that Americans do whatever it takes to stop ‎Murdoch's insidious cancer from growing and destroying our country's independent free ‎press.‎

    Jesus C.

    Are you for real? wow! how many millions did the Clinton administration spend in commercials during his administration? How many millions did President Clinton spend trying to sell america his ideas using propaganda?

    Jesus, you can't be as ignorant as you sound. Presidents since as far back as Franklin D. Roosevelt have used commercials, "propaganda", to sell their administration's agenda to the American people. Bush is NOT the first President to do it and he will certainly not be the last. You need to go to a library listen to the radio commercials (propaganda) put out by FDR when he was trying to sell Social Security to the American people. You will also find that he used radio commercials and print out to sell many of his other agenda items, including WWII.

    I am sure that you are also aware that President Bush is not the first PResident to put a black out on the media to not show flagged draped coffins of American soldiers. FDR had a whole department that monitored the media and made sure that anything that was printed or put on radio about the war, his administration approved. Imagine that, a Democrat President censoring the media.

    I suggest you do what you are asking me to do and do a little bit of research and educate yourself before you show outrage about something that has been done by all Presidents, Republicans AND Democrats since FDR!!!!

    You see, that is what the Liberal media and Democrats count on, well intentioned, but ignorant people like Jesus. I am very well aware of the fake outrage from the media and the Democrats about Bush spending money in so called propaganda to sell his agenda. What the Liberal media and the Democrats wont tell you is that this is a practice that has been carried out by all Presidents since FDR.

    Liberals, education will set you free!!!!

    Two tactics in dealing w/ FNC:
    1. Have a friendly ad agency draw a profile
    of the FNC viewer. I believe you'll find them to be typically, 50+ and downscale, two
    very undesirable traits in audiences delivered.
    Arm your participants w/ this credibly sourced info as two reasons why advertising on FNC is not a smart buy.

    2. The Obama campagign is correct--all democratic challengers and/or their supporters should embargo all information and direct dealings (on-air appearances) with FNC. Their entire content model is based on conflict w/ those in the center and left set up
    as victim/patsy to be beaten down with all the resources of the network--the "moderators," commentators, producers who write and call for the demeaning grfx--top to bottom, the deck will ALWAYS be stacked against those who do not agree as they are only in business to give their core audience (who will NEVER be persuaded otherwise) a steady diet of reinforcement that they are right. These people believe that just by giving access to those in the center or left,
    Fox is fulfilling their "fair and balanced" promise. Take away that access and Fox viewers are left with only their "side" talking TO one another about the other side. Eventually, this gets boring for those who crave a victim--auto races with no crashes? Would THAT work?
    Now Fox will rail vociferously about how those
    opposing them are afraid and how this flies in
    the face of a free press, but stay strong.
    Strategically freeze them out of the discourse
    long enough to affect ratings.
    I spent 30 yrs in lcl television and learned that this tactic is effective--when lcl critics were consistently critical and biased, one general manager boss of mine said that's it--no information/assistance to this reporter/paper. Eventually, and it did take a couple of years, the reporter was replaced and balance in coverage was restored.
    To Rupert, it's just business, so destroy the business model.

    PS - I loved the Walmart tape, as I did not feel I was having a political agenda shoved down my throat.

    If you honestly want to show the TRUTH you can't pretend Fox is doing anything more sinister than the "Democratic/Liberal" "opinion stations", oops I mean news stations, which by the way vastly outnumber the "Repulican/Conservative" TV "opinion stations", then you really should do another piece showing the counter argument. You would regain my repect and could honestly say the media you produce is for the informed, not just a liberal pep rally, but I fear the truth is not as big of a part of your agenda as you would like the fart smellers and the rest of the world to believe.

    I understand that it is not a good idea to recognize Fox as a news source, however, many people watch it as their main "news" source. This is alarming. My parents, for instance, mainly rely on Fox for "news." I've told them that Fox isn't really balanced at all, it has a right-wing slant and it their reporting is rife with lies, their response is that "other news channels have a left wing slant, and besides they all distort the truth anyway, so why not listen to people who at least see things mostly the way we do, like Fox." I partly agree with the fact that there are going to be slants on any 24 hr news channel, but obviously Fox takes it to another level. Anyway, to the point, since so many people watch it, and since so many people think that the "liberal" media is distorting the facts, if a major debate were pulled from the Fox network, or if Dems. refuse to appear on it, or if we convince businesses to pull their adds, wouldn't we be adding fuel to the fire of the so-called "liberal adgenda" to distort the truth, and wouldn't we be depriving Fox viewers of any hope, however small it may be in the face of the lies promoted on Fox, of getting a "balanced" viewpoint? I'm all for Fox not existing, but it's nearly impossible to undo something with such force in one swoop. Just think of the backlash from Fox and the conservatives that support it (i.e. the South Park fart guy listed above me here), and think of the spinning that would happen if all the proposed plans mentioned on this website were enacted. I'm not promoting inaction, just thought or scenario-building. The plans mentioned above, for the most part, are interesting, and potentially useful, but what are some thoughts on the consequences of these actions, besides possibly hurting Fox? Could we actually be helping them in the end, in other words, are there some counter-intuative results from our actions or inactions?

    Casey,

    I love to hear your voice of reason as I am reading all these militant liberals plotting to sensor the "conservative" opinion station, but I think it is for the wrong reasons meaning you still want them silenced, but you’re afraid some tactics might actually backfire.

    The problem is we both think we are smarter than the other guy when in reality we both have been bombarded by biased half truths since we were young. I was an alter boy in the Catholic church for eight years growing up and attended very conservative schools until college. I was raised believing:
    1. Jesus was the only god
    2. Gay intimacy is immoral
    3. Eating meat on Friday during lent made God mad
    4. If I told my sins to a priest God would forgive them
    5. Jesus was born on 12-25-0000.
    6. Lots of other things no one can prove

    After some research:
    1. Jesus may have just been an incredible man
    2. The reason Muslims and Catholics both condemn gay love could be because they both wanted to rule the world and it’s hard for two men or two women to restock the holy army with fresh blood
    3. The fishing trade was having a hard time so some pope decided all meat, but fish could not be eaten on Fridays.
    4. The Catholic Church used to take money as penance for sins and if they were willing to do that one might assume secret sins have probably been used as leverage for political gain in the past.
    5. A roman emperor decided a good way to unite his feuding kingdom of Christians and pagans was to have the celebration of God's b-day on a major pagan holiday and we all partied together.
    6. Could I be wrong about one or more of my revelations above, sure? The problem is I have more PROOF for them than I do for things I was "brainwashed" to believe ever since the doc hit me where God split me.

    WHAT THE HELL IS MY POINT!
    I don't have one, I'm just craving attention......just kidding..kind of.
    The point is just because these folks make a video and generally speaking, you like their messages don't kid yourself for a second that what you are hearing is the TRUTH.

    Let’s get deep and maybe crazy--I'm reading a book right now by Cesar Millan....yes, the "Dog Whisperer". A major message I'm beginning to understand is that the majority of animals we encounter, including us wacko humans, are constantly testing each other and jockeying for positions of power in the pack. In addition, those without the strong desire or ability to lead will fall into place in a pecking order and often decide which camp or dominant leader to follow.
    In the animal world this is a function that helps sustain the future of the pack and insure that the pack stays strong. Some animals make the wrong decision and their leader leads them to doom.

    I'm afraid of the Iran pack and the Iraq pack and in General the Muslim extremist packs and I have to decide which leaders will be able to protect me from, primarily, those who want me dead.

    Gay couples, the economy, who has the better health care idea, mean nothing to dead people. I'm not spreading fear to promote my agenda. My pack was attacked and I want my leader to calmly and assertively scare the hell out of the rival pack members to the point where they question their support of their pack leader. (Iran). If my leader fails to do all they can to protect me two things can happen: he is replaced or the pack is replaced.

    Did we lose in Vietnam? To answer that I'd ask were we fighting a country or fighting communism? Your answer to the second question, I believe, changes the answer to the first question.

    Are we "losing" in Iraq? I believe if we allow our enemies to influence our actions using our own media against us we will. In our lifetime will we ever vacation at the Iranian Disney world and become bestist friends with our sexist, religious extremist brothers in the sand? Not unless they decide money is more important than Allah like the Saudis pretty much have done.
    If everyone in the world could step back and just think logically then much of this brainwashing could be undone and we could all drink a coke and make a human chain around the world and sing dump unity songs, but alas, we are one huge freaking pack and we are all jockeying for pack leader and us human are far more capable of elaborate deceit.
    Call me a war monger, alarmist, paranoid, republican jerk, but if a member of my pack is bitten by a dog from another pack I want my Alfa to kill that mutt in front of as many people as possible so they once again fear the "sleeping giant", but I'm funny that way.

    How to destoy FOX, step one

    Get that doctors who are treating the liberal on Hannity and Combs to stop giving him his HIV meds so he goes away and stops making you guys look like total idiots.

    I know, very very harsh, but the guy seems like he's fighting so hard for liberal ideas, but just gets crushed almost every day.

    Maybe he's just a poser like John Stewart's conservative poser clone, Colbert.

    I will give you guys this: you have figured out CNN does not hold the attention of very many highschool and college kids, but Stewart and Colbert do. I'm 33 and I will admit I got 75% of my world news from the "Daily Show" in college, but that was with the dude before Stewart and in Stewart's early days before he started loving his own farts, laughing like geek at himself every 2 minutes, and making every world event about how Bush screwed up. We get it you don't like Bush, now that that's established is there anything left?

    Seriously, had Colbert been a true conservative and willing to take such an over the top approach as he pretended to early on, it would have been a huge set back for liberals because our highschoolers and college kids would have had a relatively young and hip conservative champion so they could subtly raged against the machine, like we all did at one time or another, but still keep their conservation values.

    Then the elections approached and Colbert's master, Stewart, said "shift gears my son because you may actually be appealing to the youth who may vote now, but will be voting in 5 years". For me that day really sucked because the Colbert Report had become my new Daily Show. Now I can't take more than 5 or 10 minutes of either.

    To any of you fart smellers who take yourself WAY to seriously and say CNN is anymore a true news report than Comedy Central's I say you are not watching Stewart because as much as I have grown to hate him I wish he was on my side because I feel when he stops smiling, laughing like a dork, and puts someone in his crosshairs he's dangerous.

    Dear Mr. Colbert,
    Hook up with mommy, kill your daddy, and rage against the dying of your conservative light. Even if you know in your heart you're liberal, you're wrong. Darth Stewart may be your father, but you can fight the dark side within you....come back to the force.

    Yes among all my other faults I'm also a semi-Star Wars-dork. Hey it was one of the first movies I remember seeing from my childhood and a "Parent trap" or " The Incredible Shrinking Woman" reference just did not work here.

    Now go forth and multiply....or at least enjoy practicing,

    Hey, its time to show what's going down.

    O'LIE-lee was on Oprah on Feb 21

    He said some good things on Oprah - but it was never pointed out that he said opposite things VERY recently.

    Why was he ON at all? Is he some kind of expert?
    He didn't apologize - which WOULD have been a reason.
    Why didn't he apologe like he said he would?
    It could have made him a hero to say he was wrong - but he never came close. So it turned into a PR job without admitting culpability or error.

    Carlos - for real?

    Sure. Where is the proof of the claims made about the left owning the media? The contrary is pretty well documented.

    The media is shrinking - how much of your local news is fluff to make you feel good about a non-story?

    How much of the local news is fed by outside sources - the Bushies were caught feeding false stories with that Karen whatever, creating propaganda pieces for submission to local news.

    How much local news is a promo for shows appearing on that network? This is NEWS?

    What about coverage for Bush - specifically egregious in the 2000 election - until the 2 weeks before the election, all the media would do is MOSTLY paraphrase Bush into coherent soundbites - and have the announcer repeat them over the top of footage of Bush stumping. His words spoken by himself would have underscored his inability to speak coherently without programmed talking points well practiced.

    That would make a good short film.

    Once again, like Stewart, I've lost a guy I loved. Why couldn't he just stick to making cool movies the guys liked for the action and the girls liked for their BEEFCAKEYNESS, oh and keep his mouth shut! Hell he killed his own dads chances because when it all boils down the guy making 35K a year does not care if some millionaire feels we should not deport illegal aliens or we should spend a few billion in Africa solving those people's problems.

    I say we make an international statement that we will no longer steal money from our people and primarily our working class so that Clooney can fulfil a promise to the maid at his African hotel on one of his many "vacations". We will close our borders and stop ALL international support for five years so we might try to pay back billions or trillions of dollars we owe to the same countries we're spending the money on.

    People, please wake up and ask yourselves if our Democracy is getting stronger, sustaining, or if we are approaching our end.
    To assume we are fine is to say you believe the United States will never fall. I'm sure the Greeks, Romans, Europian empires, Soviets, and even certain American indian tribes KNEW they would be around forever. The averge life of the world's greatest empires is around 200 years, But I'm sure we can do whatever we want and nothing can tear us down.
    To turn on your own leader and say Bush is the reason the muslims hate us is to forget the hundreds or thousands of Muslim Extremist attacks on innocent people which happened prior to Bush.
    People, the Muslims do not want us dead because Bush is trying to steal their oil. They want us dead for the same reason they have wanted us dead for hundreds of years...we will not accept the wizard of Allah as our Lord and hence the Humans who say they are Allah's authorities on earth have no control over us.
    Why were you not afraid of them when you were a child? Because the USSR and the USA were in an arms race and no one else had the bomb. We proved to the world we did not want to destroy it, but now we are faced with counties who are getting the bombs and who have proven to the world that destroying themselves is glorious as long as they do it for Allah. Is it so far fetched to KNOW you are going to heaven and hooking up with 13 virgins for eternity if you destroy the world in the name of Allah. Hell, the VIRGIN Mary gave birth to God who said go to churck every Sunday and eat a pice of bread which IS my body? and drink red wine which is actually my blood? and even if you rape and murder 1000 children if you are truely sorry and confess your sins you will spend eternity in paradise.

    What is really important to you. Should we spend our lives fighting our own people over gay unions being legal or over should we back our leader who trying send a message and in doing so could shift the middle east from a theocracy to a democracy and allow the people of those areas human rights ecspecially the women who are SLAVES in every essence of the word...sure many of them may accept their own slavery and even support it, only because of hundreds of years of brainwashing.

    I just hate seeing us spend so many resources on fighting our own when I truely believe if they had to choose, the vast majority of lesbians would rather us free all muslim women rather than so OK you can marry.
    "I'm a dreamer,but I'm not the only one",
    I love you, bye bye

    John H. Eblen,

    you are aware that Dick Morris was the right hand of the Clintons all through the 1990s. He was the Karl Rove for the Clinton White House. So, if it is true what you claim about Dick Morris then the Clintons are as much garbage as you claim Foxnews is, right?

    please, you are a liberal whacko if you believe the garbage you pick up against conservatives through the left wing nut blogs.

    I agree with many comments here. U will not change FOX & if we have learned anything ..Dont play fair with these bastrads. Kick them hard where it counts. Remember how the previous congress treated the Democrtas...Never allow these bastards to get away. Expose them for what they are ...a propaganda channel & nothing more ...

    If you ever buy anything from anyone that advertises on Faux and they ask you "How did you hear about us?" please don't say you heard them on Faux. If you get polled by any pollig company never say you watch Faux even if you do. Never quote Faux with your friends or neighbors or talk about their shows.
    3 simple steps that help a little.
  • Derf Kallop · 2 years ago
    Hey Adolph Len,

    All I watch is the most fair, balanced, and respectable news on earth.....FOX. I make a ton of money and thank you for the ideas. I will now start paying attention to who advertises there and try to spend my money with those folks.

    Sure, I flip over to CNN, CNBC, and my local liberal news stations during commercials, but I can't stay long. I feel the same way about those as you do about FOX.

    All I ask is that you keep peeling the onion back. If the last layer proves conservatives to be wrong then so be it, but when you stop asking what the motavations behind peoples actions are then you become a pawn.

    I realize, in your mind, you may truely believe CNN is fair and balanced, even though I think you really know they're liberal and if you continue to attack FOX and praise CNN you might be lucky enough to sway a few on the fencers.

    Do you really expect the readers here to believe that FOX is the conservative voice and there is NO liberal voice. So you are saying CNN is totally unbaised, they are just telling the news with no slant or opinion. OR --I guess you could be saying that conservative values are so damaginging to the country, and the vast majority of USA folks have the same beliefs as CNN so FOX should under.....When did FOX start? Why did FOX start? Oh yea Conservatives were so sick of the liberal agenda being passed off as legit news a whole new channel was started and has made such an impact that liberals are plotting to get rid of it or hurt it. Your own agenda to destroy it proves its importance and its impact.

    Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the most recent Presidential election:

    Population of counties won by:
    Gore = 127 million
    Bush = 143 million

    Square miles of land won by:
    Gore = 580,000
    Bush = 2,2427,000

    States won by:
    Gore = 19
    Bush = 29

    Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
    Gore = 13.2
    Bush = 2.1

    WHY AM I A CONSERVATIVE??????????

    Why do I support many of the president's actions even though some of his actions make me sick? Because the alternative is not the life of country I want. With that said I believe I'm backing the lessor of two evils not the best choice, but the best we could get elected at that time.
    "Honesty is such a lonely word"
    alright lets see what the fart smellers have thrown up recently
    Derfaroony
    PS enjoy my wisdom because this is the first, last, and only time I will ever be here. I have truely pissed away a valuable day trying to educate you evil liberals.

    Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question, just dumb liberals. So feel fre to ask me questions about how to redeem yourself and become a conservative asset to our society....your welcome in advance

    The far left are the true Nazis.
    They try to put an end to all alternate view points other than their own.
    They want to get rid of FOX news.
    They want to get rid of conservative radio talk stations.
    They scream, yell, and whine on college campuses if a speaker with an alternate view point is scheduled to talk.
    This is what the Nazi party had done in the past and this is what they do currently.
    Stop your crying!!! Face the facts!!!

    HEY,

    What do you liberal folks think about this? What is the liberal counter argument? Please don't step up to the plate if you can't hit. I'd rather not waste my time reading a stupid argument with no facts to support it.

    At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in the year 1787, Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history professor at The University of Edinborough) had this to say about "The Fall of The Athenian Republic" some 2,000 years prior:

    "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

    "The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations alw ays progressed through the following sequence:

    From Bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage."

    Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the most recent Presidential election:

    Population of counties won by:
    Gore = 127 million
    Bush = 143 million

    Square miles of land won by:
    Gore = 580,000
    Bush = 2,2427,000

    States won by:
    Gore = 19
    Bush = 29

    Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
    Gore = 13.2
    Bush = 2.1

    Professor Olson adds:

    "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off government welfare . . ."

    Olson believes the U.S. is now somewhere between the "apathy" and "complacency" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy with some 40 percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

    Dear Derf Kallop,‎

    Cesar Millan is a true delight and a human psychologist of the highest order (--- in spite ‎of perhaps lacking an academic pedigree)... Nevertheless, the point Mr. Millan (aka the ‎
    ‎"Dog Whisperer") has gone to great lengths to make is that humans --- as dog owners ‎tend to be narcissistic and unsurprisingly anthropomorphic. In other words; the reason ‎people make terrible pack leaders and raise neurotic dogs is because we are not dogs ‎living in packs. Indeed, humanity has evolved beyond the savagery of a dog eat dog ‎world. But thank god Mr. Millan is here to remind us that we have a duty to our best ‎friends and Neanderthal nitwits like you Mr. Derf Kallop, to see that you’re trained and ‎obedient for the good of society. As y’all do have a paranoid tendency for lashing out at ‎others unlike yourselves, resulting in mayhem, chaos, anarchy, and most certainly death. ‎Sound familiar?‎

    what if moveon.org or a similar group hosted a debate, like a candidates debate, between news anchors or news producers? so instead of Obama-Clinton-Edwards, etc the debate would be between Fox-NBC-ABC-CBS-CNN. they would have to answer to their policies, convince us the questioners that what they offer us is news!

    Keep up the good job FOX.
    It amazes me that the liberals get upset because ONE national network doesn't report the liberal bias in their news.
    ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN,MSNBC,ETC,Etc. have been the mouthpiece for the liberal agenda for many, many years.
    If you don't like the FOX Network, do what I do with the liberal networks... just turn it off.

    Leslie Pool said:

    Leslie insert any of the Liberal left wing news channels where you have used the word Fox, Republicans where you have Demoncrats and the message will be much more accurate. Insert the New York Times as well, that way you will have a much better understanding of who is maliciously politicizing issues that has ‎blackened the name of every American that doesn't share the lefts liberal views.

    Here's your post, go ahead make some name changes.

    I'm sorry, but I just can't help myself from shaking my head and laughing at this post. lol

    In my opinion all major news media is slanted and sensationalistic, FOX news is just more openly slanted. The fact that it is connected with one particular political party and that it is owned by a man who has used shock value above all else to get ratings.

    I believe that true objectivity in news has been dead for a long time, since most people have a hard time not putting some slant of opinion on whatever they say or write. What I find most ludicrous about FOX is their insistance that they are fair and balanced, which they are not. No other news network that I have seen has made such a claim. I know that it's difficult to have a news source that is completely neutral, and that if one ever were totally neutral then people from either extreme would be claiming that it is slanted to the other side, since a large number of people seem to feel that anything that isn't totally for their opinion is completely against it.

    Is there a real possible way to fix this? I don't believe so, not in the realities of corporate America where there is plenty of reason not to change, and by and large everything seems to go towards maintaining the status quo.

    I don't approve of what fox news does, and being nominally liberal I feel that the people they attack should not go onto shows from their network, but I also feel that the entire political process is about casting yourself in the best light possible while casting no light on the opposition. As they say all publicity is good publicity.

We have our own programming, and own news shows. Would love to carry some of your ideas to the rest of the world. Write any ideas to Mike Pierre President at mike1tofa@aol.com.

    Having watched Fox News on and off over the past several years, it's obvious to any intelligent person that Fox News use mind games to change the minds of low IQ viewers.

    Fox News (if you can even call it news) is so out of touch with reality, most of their mind games don't work anymore, it's becoming comedic.

    The most priceless television I have ever seen was when Bill O'Reilly was on the David Letterman show. David Letterman exposed Bill O'Reilly for what he really is. A fraud.
  • Gina · 2 years ago
    Mind games and there's that lower IQ again from the narcissistic Einstein liberals on here. David Letterman??? lol..........nuff said.

    I think while you were watching Fox News over the years, it really did lower your IQ.

    Yeah, Dave Letterman's views are soooo much more closer to reality.

    So now you have CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, David Letterman, The New York Times, LA Times, Washington Post and I'm sure I'm leaving some others out. Now you want Fox News shut down because everybody out there just doesn't see things your way. Typical.

    While you guys are boycotting sponsors of the Fox News Channel, I'd like a favor. Could you boycot The Video Professor, Enzyte "Everybody Loves Bob", Viagra, Cialis and all gadget commercials, countrywide loans, nutrisystem. I'd love to see those go to the left side, but I got a feeling they are not exclusive to just advertising on Fox News. Ahhh Crap.

    If you want to really make a difference in this world, and are serious about exposing unjust, how about stepping up to the plate and fighting some real issues that affect us all. Market manipulation, fraud on the street, corporate greed, the fraudulent SEC, your future really depends on this.

    Check out the Bob O'Brien blog and sanity check.

    I think these short videos can be really important and here's my suggestion -- make short video news segments from a progressive point of view and distribute them to local news reporters. Local tv news, esp in smaller markets (ie, anything but the top 5 or 10), is produced with very little actual reporting due to a lack of resources (and imagination). You've got imagination in spades -- and just like the big corporations and Bush admin have done by composing video press releases that showed up on local news, you can not only fight against Fox but beat them at their own game. You could even focus your efforts on making videos in the Fox news style (lots of noisy graphics, short jump cuts, animation, provocative topics) and then get people in cities around the country to research email contact info and help distribute them directly to local tv news reporters.

    Just my 2c worth.

    Dear Leslie Pool,

    “Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me”

    Your two points as I understood them:
    1. I'm a "Paranoid Neandrathal nitwit" ---So, I'm a stupid, extinct specie of prehistoric man who lives in a cave, hates Gieco, and has a mental disorder consisting of delusions of persecution causing me lash out with the result being bad things like death.

    2. My Millan reference is meaningless in this context because "humanity has evolved beyond the savagery of a dog eat dog world"

    To quote SNL "Leslie Pool, you ignorant slut!" jk

    1. The middle east primarily consists of theocracies, Extemist muslims want us dead, their religous leaders can't/won't stop the violence, and the non-extremists in their country can't/won't stop their violence, the ignorant feel they will spend eternity in paradise should they commit murder and suicide in the name of their god, they have more access to our country than ever before, they have more access to WMDs than ever before, they have figured out how to turn us against ourselves.

    The 1972 Munich massacre during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany
    The December 1975 hostage taking at the OPEC headquarters in Vienna, Austria
    Bombing of Cubana Flight 455 in 1976 which killed 73 people.
    The June 1985 bombing of Air India Flight 182 originating from Canada
    The destruction of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988
    The killing of Nicaraguan civilians during the 1980s by US-sponsored contras who had been trained by the United States in the use of terror.[40]
    The 1993 World Trade Center bombing
    The 1993 Mumbai bombings
    The 1995 sarin gas attacks in Tokyo, Japan
    The Oklahoma City bombing by Timothy McVeigh on April 19, 1995
    The Centennial Olympic Park bombing in 1996
    The US embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania on August 7, 1998
    The Omagh bombing in Northern Ireland (August 15, 1998)
    The August 31 – September 22: Russian Apartment Bombings kills about 300 people, leading Russia into Second Chechen War
    The September 11, 2001 attacks in New York, and Washington D.C.[41][42]
    The 2001 Indian Parliament attack on December 13, 2001
    The Passover Massacre on March 27, 2002 in Netanya, Israel
    The Moscow theatre siege and the Beslan school siege in Russia
    The Bali bombing in October 2002
    The March 11, 2004 attacks in Madrid
    The July 7, 2005 bombings in London
    The second Bali bombing on October 1, 2005
    The Mumbai train bombings on 11 July 2006.
    Some terrorist attacks or plots were designed to kill thousands of people, but either failed or fell short. Such plans include the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Operation Bojinka, and the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot.

    DELUSIONS OF PERSECUTION?

    I guess we can add all these to the list of things Iran's president informed us never happened!

    2. You said--"humanity has evolved beyond the savagery of a dog eat dog world"

    I didn't notice the wonderful "evolution towards peace" you speak of. I was under the impression 9-11 actually happened when I guess it was just a movie. The savagery is not gone. In fact, at least animals kill for survival.

    I was also under the impression that a friend of mine had been murdered in the Bali bombings by extremists, but how could this be in such a non-dog eat dog, non-savage, evolved world. Was he killed because he was a threat to Islam? Hell yes he was! Because anyone who is not for them is against them in their (extremists) eyes hence an infidel hence should be dead.

    Leslie, Where are all the Democrats who voted to go to Iraq....oh yea, the only reason they voted to go was because Bush told them lies???? I expect my elected officials to do some research.

    When did these Democrats change their mind? Was it right before the elections? WHERE WERE ALL THESE (non-nitwit, neanderthals) THE DAY WE DECIDED TO SEND TROOPS?

    PS right now on CNN they are reporting that the president of IRAQ was injured in an assasination attempt.

    WAR sucks, people die, gorilla warfare sucks worse, fighting an enemy that hides in religious buildings and behind bystandards really sucks. Seeing our own die for freedom is hard to take. Does this mean our actions are wrong.

    Do you believe the captives in GB are proof of the Republican's Neandrathal..ness. Do you spend the same amount of energy speaking out against the murderers in Iraq who behead their prisoners?

    Do you feel the only reason the Democrats Oked the war was because they were mislead into thinking Iraq was behind 9-11 and they had WMDs.

    It is gorilla warfare! I guess you could send a letter to the terrorist and ask them to only use muskets, wear red coats, and stand in line and trade bullets with us, but I think they've pretty much decided they can only make impact with terrorist attacks on primarily unprotected targets...civilians!

    What just pisses me off is I honestly believe if it were Bill Clinton who sent the troops the Democrats would be all for it and the Republicans would be against it...if you think differently I'd say you're a liar or maybe you're the "nitwit".

    By the way, next time you step up to the plate you may want to bring a bat instead of a big mouth.

    Just a thought,
    Derfy

    Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Isn't this what makes the news channels go (either the conservative FOX of the liberal CNN--by the way I enjoy FOX)? One thing that makes our country great was the exchange of ideas and thoughts, and from what I have read here, there is not exchange of thoughts, just name calling and narrow mindedness and intolerence of others' views. There is no genteelness, no respect for others...after all, we were all made differently and raised differently, with different opinions, views, feelings, and needs.

    I guess I can do something today: I am a conservative leaning middle of the road person--REMOVE MY EMAIL FROM YOUR LIST--I DON"T HAVE TIME TO READ THE TYPE OF GARBAGE THAT IS ON THIS.

    You folks are a bunch of hypocrites. On one end you left wingers preach freedom of the press when it suits you and on the other end you scream foul when it hurts you.

    But the American people are smarter than that. They'll see 2006 was more about blaming the Republicans for what has happened rather than having a game plan for this country.

    In two short years your party will screw things up and the huge landslide you're expecting in the 2008 election will fizzle. And your continued hate messages will come out because hate is something that sticks to your whole being and can't easily be removed.

    I have screen captures of Fox trying to slime Edwards with Bill Maher's comment:

    http://www.unspace.net/2007/03/fox-news-an-atte...

    Fox eventually fixed it, and the fix shows just how bad the original stunt was. Why did they put a large picture of Edwards on that article when Edwards had nothing to do with it?

    I posted a second article, explaining how the Fox trick worked. It's right above the first article. Having worked with several large circulation newsletters, I'm familiar with the basic tricks of graphic design, but apparently my readers aren't.

    I think we could facilitate an effective boycott of Faux News by sharing information on this or another website about Fox's advertisers. Faux News watchdogs from around the country could compile lists of advertisers in different states, and the advertisers contact information so people could call or write to them. What would be best is an interactive map of the U.S., and potential boycotters could just click on their state and either add the name/contact info of a Fox advertiser, or they could check the list and call some companies. How does this sound?

    I'm sorry everybody, I fail to see why you hate so much. I think what Fox is trying to do is offset a media saturated with a liberal slant. "Fair and Balanced"? well, maybe not on Fox alone. But perhaps in the grand scheme of mass-media they hope to influence the world back to hearing all sides of issues. Why is it so bad that ONE news channel covers stories that go against the natural biased of the rest of the networks. CNN and the like wouldn't even claim to be "Fair and Balanced" because they're a little more honest about their role. It's up to each news outlet to pick and choose what is worth reporting and what they have time to report. Biased undoubted sneaks its way in...EVERYWHERE.

    * Latest Administration Lie

    * Fox News Seagulls Squawk

    *Fox News Viewer Moo's

    Explanation:

    Fox News spreads Lies and 1/2 truths, using people with seagull mentality (all seagulls do is sqwak and shit). The viewer is the cow, (cows follow the herd). Then revert to attack people that counter the lies by attacking the messenger and not the message.

    fairly simple when you break it down into something a child would understand.

    Has anyone see the newest abomination on faux ? the 1/2 hour news hour.

    if you truly wish to wonder why republicans are the way they are, watch it. Its not funny, its rather childish, the type of funny of a bully on a playground ostricising the fat kid.It's proves that most republicans are incapable of thinking outside the box.

    Translated into Republican:
    Fox News "Reporter"
    Squawk squawk squawk. praise Bush!, grunt plop.

    Fox News Viewer:
    Moo moo, moo moo moo, moo, moooo, moo. Bush moo.
    *stampedes over a cliff"

    This whole effort just proves how far left the major media outlets (CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, etc.) have gotten. It is to the point that FOX, a network that presents BOTH sides of the issue, is perceived too far to the right.

    Keep kidding yourselves, guys. The Truth is out there and it is "fair and balanced."
  • Kevin F Tweedy · 2 years ago
    I simply cannot bear to watch a single minute of the "FOX Noise Channel". It's about time that we strike Ruppert and fat cat (literally) Roger Ailes back where it really hurts: the cash box. Boycott! (As well as complain to local advertisers who get their ads slipped into the local cable/satellie ad spots. They should know that they are associating their products and services with a slimey bunch.) It still amazes me that FOX thinks that they can project "fair and balanced" simply by saying so over and over.

    imho ... Kevin Tweedy / Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii
  • Jerry · 2 years ago
    Ya'll should be ashamed of yourselves. FoxNews is far far far far far far far more fair and balanced than your bomb-throwing totally slanted networks like MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NPR....they treat conservatives like Nazis treated the Jews. And, by the way, isn't it nice to see the robot liberals come in and try to silence speech? Your playbook is 1984.
  • Michael · 2 years ago
    Yes, FoxNews is mouthpiece for the Republican party. But your edited clip is not the best way to show this. You don't need MTV-style editing to make your point. Make it in a clearer, slower way so that it doesn't look like you're taking quotes out of context. Simply point out that Fox's idea of 'breaking news' is to generate ridiculous stories allegedly undermining the character of Democrats. The "Muslim" Obama thing is a good example, but in the future with this sort of thing, just present the case, with title cards and an explanation of what they are doing, and slightly longer clips so it doesn't look like a fuzzy propaganda piece. The reality is clear enough; you don't need to juice it up.

    By the way, not that I'm a huge fan of Hillary these days but you could also produce a piece on the Fox's coverage of Hillary speaking in a southern accent at a black church. They took a clip of her speaking in an accent WHILE QUOTING SOMEONE and presented it as if she PRETENDED that was her actual voice. A basic, essential distinction that they ignored while blowing up this ridiculous "story" last week.

    I do appreciate your work, and you could start a file on Fox's treatment of all the important democrats. But just present each case in a more factual, straightforward way and it will be more credible, I think.
  • jerry · 2 years ago
    Michael, I'm going to agree with you regarding your Hillary comment. When Rush presented it, he didn't mention that she was quoting someone. When I found out it kind of ruined it for me...she was "affecting" someone else's speech pattern. Now how can I fault that? Crap I do that everyday. So you're right. Then again, no one is as nakedly ambitious and as cynical as Hillary Clinton. Please do NOT vote for this snake! :-)

    Thank you for Professor Olson Der Kallop!
    For me the pieces finally fall together.

    I was admittedly confused as to how the children you were remained the children you are. The Liberal Leeches of society, suctioning off the blood of "abundance" while continually eroding the advancement that had been made before you and to even add to it in a marked irreparable degree.

    Re-posting is obviously inescapable:
    ""The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    From Bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage."

    ...Professor Olson adds:

    "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off government welfare . . ."

    Olson believes the U.S. is now somewhere between the "apathy" and "complacency" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy with some 40 percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase."

    PROFESSOR OLSON has identified/defined you, the "Bondage Or Bust" crowd.

    To finally appreciate how you folks regressed to nothing more than parasitic has been quite revealing for me. Although I feel sorry for you, no one can afford to allow continuing as you have....especially you.

    Broadcast networks like FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC etc own stations licensed to use publicly owned frequency's. Before granting or renewing a license the FCC is required to determine that the station is serving it's community.

    The most financially lucrative stations in the country have large liberal populations that are not being served by any of major networks despite the "Big Lie" to the contrary.

    It is time that people in Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and LA begin writing and telling the FCC that the TV stations in their communities are not serving their needs. Start with FOX. That will attack the most egregious and send a message to the other networks at the same time.
  • LaurieH · 2 years ago
    In recent years, the far right has been very effective in boycotting national advertisers of programs they find objectionable. It seems here that the focus is on strictly local businesses. Why not go national - you'd certainly increase awareness of Fox's extreme right bias, while at the same time doing some potentially significant damage to their revenue stream.

    How 'bout tackling Hannity's "journalistic" credentials. On a daily basis, he distorts facts almost any time he opens his mouth. His new Hannity's America show on Sunday nights is a hoot. Last week he had on an anti global warming segment where he questioned the polar bear numbers and whether they were dwindling or not. He had on an expert speaking about the statistics and the "expert" was never shown to have a name , title, or credentials. This could have been the janitor in the hall for all any viewer would know. This is just one example of his inability to be a "journalist". Please show him for the right-wing puppet that he is.

    So when will you guys be putting a clip of ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, etc... and the left wing bias they so love to tout? Is it that damaging to you to know that there is 1 cable news channel with the possibility to lean a certain way every now and again? Fox is the closest network to being balanced and with their hand on the pulse of America. They wouldn't have the most ratings of ALL OTHER CABLE NEWS NETWORKS COMBINED if it weren't the case. Stop crying over spilled milk, and try and rid the leftist agenda of all the other news channels first. Maybe then you guys will have a tiny chance to regain some influence of viewers in the U.S.

    It is absurd that the Black Caucus (which is obviously racist in the simple fact that it is called that) would want to stop their message from being heard in this country. But it is the Democrats who have kept the black man enslaved ever since the civil rights movement, and as long as they continue to vote that way, they will struggle for equality.

    Is it racist to think that? Am I a huge racist now? Wake up!

    One thing Fox News does constantly is espouse how they are "fair and balanced" but demonstrate quite the opposite on their shows by stacking debates and discussions on issues with predominately, if not, exclusively, right-wing pundits. If you view O'Reilly, Gibson, Hannity and Colmes you'll notice how "stacked" the panels are against the progressive point of view, sometimes 3 to 1 and, in some cases, no progressive voices are present during on air discussions.discussions.

Debates, especially legit ones are always based on facts and if one of the participants LIES to win, their disqualified. Have your opinions, be diverse in politics, etc. BUT be honest. Many of the comments here absolutely floor me. Those who feel "their" political party is being defamed respond with calls for censorship, one boob even suggested that Fox should be "arrested" (for what was not explained). A real Democrat would let their fingernails be pulled out before they would condone censorship or South American-style secret police arrests of journalists, regardless of their affiliation. Fox and the republicans constantly attack the internet. if it were not for democrats and government funding of the Arpanet in the first place, we would still have $.75 emails, 56K modems, $/min connection fees, no public content. there would be CompuServe, aol, and maybe msn, all with their own self contained content. republicans have constantly cut funding, and changed laws (1996 telecommunications act) to damage the internet. fox frames the internet as some kind of place for sexual predators and other criminals, as part of the coordinated right wing attack on the only alternative media outlet they haven't pinned down yet. if you think we'd have had an internet without the gov't, just look at the sorry state of cel networks and their crazy costs, and imagine that for computers.

    It's not even gray or even a smoke screen anymore and it's 2007. This country is obviously divided down political lines but even deeper than that divide is the racially divided line. People who haven't experienced first hand what other people have experienced everyday are so quick to judge.

    So before I get on my political or social soapbox; actually I won't.

    The bottom line is, any movement, any revolution, any kind of "major" change in this world has always started with the people. Governments and politicians will not change, until the people change.

    I am surprised that Americans are leaving alone FIX and its rants, despite the clear evidence that it has earned America A VERY NEGATIVE IMAGE ABROAD, and more than ever before a lauging stock. Surely at this time the good American people, already belittled world over, do not need FOX to support them being isolated and ridiculed? As for journalism I watch FOX a lot but only to look for resources for critical thinking, a subject I teach. Fox is an example of unprofessional, misguided journalism in a democratic country at its worst, making a parody of democracy and free speech,and serves as a live resource of bad habits, conduct, methods and traits to be avoided - for journalists who wish to make the grade. One thing more prospective journalists can learn - never fall into the pitfalls and ugly propagandive, distortive and twisted, even stupidly mindless mentality FOX is flashing across the screens of the world. Another thing for thinking Americans - FOX is a national disservice, leave it uncensured and it is America that is going down hill for right thinking and fairness and shrewdness. It is in ?American lingua very 'ungood', and has done more damage I believe to the American image than any other mainstream news media airings.

    Dear Fox Attacks Team,

    I am watching The O'Reilly Factor right now on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 8:00pm EST. Bill is interviewing the mayor from Salt Lake City who wants Bush impeached, and Bill just called him a "kook" several times. Each time he said this, I couldn't help but think of the various times Bill has remarked that he refuses to call people names and how much he despises people who do.

    I think O'Reilly deserves his very own Fox Attacks segment - devoted to him and him alone. I can't count the amount of times I have heard him shout "you're a nut!" or "you're a kook!". One interview I remember in particular was of Professor James Fetzer - but there have been countless others.

    If I knew how to make a film clip, here's what I would do. First, start with a segment of Bill condemning people who use name-calling. Follow this with 4 or 5 short clips of him calling someone a name (nut, kook, jerk, idiot, moron, etc.) After this, just simply rinse and repeat. This little film could go on for as long as you want it to, given the amount of material Bill has given us to work with. Between 2 and 3 minutes would be perfect, I think. First, Bill's thoughts on name-calling, followed by his hypocritical behavior - done over and over again. Heck, that could go on forever.

    Please take my suggestion into consideration. I think it has the potential (though I know I'm not the first to think of it) to become a very popular and highly passed around online clip. I bet it would be a lot of fun to make, too.

    Thanks so much to the Outfoxed crew.

    Sincerely,
    Ross

    Take off your "one eyed "glasses you nut!
  • rick · 2 years ago
    I'd like to agree with you "Right and Proud," but the problem with your comment is that Dick Cheney actually behaves like a modern day Nazi. At the very least Cheney has a strong fascist/imperialist streak. Don't agree? Consider Mussolini's definition of fascism: "Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism as it is a merge of state and corporate power." Sounds a lot like Dick! Also compare Nazi Germany's invasion/occupation of Poland in 1939, to the USA's invasion/occupation of Iraq in 2003.
    One other thing you may want to consider is the philosophical similarities between FOX boss Rupert Murdoch and Nazi news man Joseph Goebbels who once proclaimed proudly: "During a war, news should be given out for instruction rather than information." I'm not trying to change your world-view, I just like you to objectively consider the possibilities.

    Has the U.S killed as many Iraqies as the German forces killed Jews? Have the American forces separated mothers from children and loaded them on trains to later gas them and starve them in work camps?

    I have objectively considered the possibilities as you requested, and well Rick, I think you should move to Syria, where you would feel right at home, and you would be much happier.

    Are you sure you really listened to the video and the points made? or are you just listening to other people tell you that this is an attack on Black America?

    We use the white man as a scapegoat so we can justify to ourselves and others why we aren't advancing, when we need to look inside ourselves and see what positive steps we actually take. We get offensive about everything that has to deal with black. We need to stop wanting handouts. Dr. King and Malcom X wanted us to integrate, not to keep setting up "Black" organizations to separate ourselves all the time.

    In our black culture, we praise things that keep us down, like drug dealers, hustlers, rappers in videos, etc. We look for shortcuts. And some say "We have no choice but to hustle." That is a bunch of crap. How about starting somewhere, even if it is McDonalds. It's not forever. Then take steps to fulfill the big picture.

    We need to stop pointing fingers and see that we aren't making positive efforts to progress. We keep ourselves down with black on black crime, violence. If we would unite, we could be taken seriously. The point that is made about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is a perfect example! Although in some aspects the media did portray the blacks as stealing tv’s-all the things NOT needed for survival and the whites only stealing bread, water, and baby formula (the necessities)! Still-What were black people doing stealing flat screen tv's and other electronics-again, just putting the stereotype back out there.

    Stereotypes are stereotypes because they are so prevalent; they didn't just come out of nowhere.

    Other groups are going to continue to stereotype us and continue to do it because we aren't changing. We still remain uneducated, stay in school! Read books, stop going home to watch useless music videos- it doesn't hurt to have diversity in your life!!!!

    We are having to many babies out of wedlock, too many black mothers and fathers abuse the welfare systems just because they don't want to have to work. There is the stereotype of Laziness!

    Everyone is focused on Barrack Obama just because he is Black. Let's just hope if he is voted into office it is for the right reasons, and that he can make a change in the world.

His security physically blocked me and said, "Stop her!" The thing about Obama is he will be able convince the blacks to get on the trains to go to the mass showers to be decontaminated in the event of a public health emergency such as a bioterrorist attack or bird flu. I'm guessing his primary financier is the pharmaceutical industry - not good. I do not support Obama. He fully supported Homeland Security. This bill is based on John Hopkins University's Model State Emergency Public Health Act. Your pet has more rights than humans do in Obama's version of this act. One public health representative determines whether or not you are contaminated whereas your pet's contamination is established by one representative from public health, your own representative, and a neutral party. Pets are incinerated if it is determined contaminated. It does not state what will happen to humans if they are determined to be "hot." Before everybody jumps on some bandwagon they really should try to do some research whether it's AIDS, vaccinations, HIPPA, or a black presidential candidate. As long as he is feeding from the hands of the establishment, the establishment won't do much to jeopardize his campaign - just enough to make you think there's a fight. I handed my letter to him through his security which he promptly handed to someone else. Two of his security physically blocked me. I have blonde hair and blue eyes and am medium build - quite a threat - and am currently being persecuted locally over a very legal taillight (I know it sounds ridiculous, but I have been charged with aggravated battery against a police officer after being abused by 4 cops in a dark alley). Apparently, I was recognized as a threat before I ever approached Obama. I couldn't believe that happened.

    Why is it that you kooks are always spewing your propaganda and absurd ineuindos , you speak about the bias of Fox.... but Fox is the number one rated News show on televisioin surpassing not just cable news media, but all news media , just think what dose that do to anyone of you who hold that " Fox is not news or bias" I my self think it makes you look stupid or bias your self. Didn't Mommy ever tell you its not good to bang your head against a concret wall?

    The airwaves do belong to the public. A news organization is entitled to its own opinion - but not its own facts. Fox news uses the same tactics as Goebbels did in Nazi Germany. No one has the right to lie about the facts on the public airwaves. Remember the poll returns of the 2000 election. They are one of the 3 greatest threats to Democracy in the U.S today.

    I believe this country is in jeopardy from views such as expressed by your site. If you do not like Fox, don't watch. But that isn't enough, is it? Your idea of free speach is to silence any speach that is not in agreement with yours. I have seen it in our Universities where guest speakers are shouted down to prevent them from being heard. It is not enough to disagree, you want to silence. This country isn't about that, but your message is.

    Why couldn't we get enough people to ban together and file a slander lawsuit against FOX a class action suit?
    For purposley reporting fake news and skewing reports?
    It would not be hard to prove.
    We could claim Damages, to our political parties, and to the integrity of jounalism.
    I mean someone needs to hold these guys accountable.
    I realise they have more money than GOD and the best attornies that money could buy, but with enough people signing onto the lawsuit it could be pulled off.
    A huge Class action suit, I think FOX owes me damages.

    Oops, I should have checked my spelling before posting above. I also wanted to comment that there should be criminal liability for intentionally lying to large audiences. Though freedom to lie is implied by freedom of speech, the risk of damage due to a lie increases exponentially with audience size. There must be a check on the behavior of people who happen to have the power to lie to very many people at once.

    The one conservative news channel (Fox News) makes up for all the liberal ones (MSNBC, CBS - Remember rather, and ABC).

    This proves that the left tries to "stifle" voices rather than compete with ideas.

    There soooo much left wing bias that they dont even realize it. When something comes along that is not soooo biased, its considered rabid-right-wing.

    I only watch fox news when I want a good laugh. "Fair and Balanced" is it? What really tears me up though is watching Mark "convicted felon" furman sputtering his unbiased analysis. Keep it up Fox News, you are the best 24/7 comedy show on TV today. You report and decide.

    I agree that Dems should boycott Fox News -and just as important- let everyone know exactly why they're doing so. Getting Bill O'Reilly off the airwaves would quiet much of the hate-filled venom that comes from Fox News. Seriously, why go on a show when you're just going to be shouted down, called names and have your mic shut off? All for the sake of O'Reilly's giant ego...now he's blaming Jessie Davis and Nancy Benoit of their own murders! Enough!

    The Fox news channel has been exposed on many occasions for providing neo-conservative view points just look at the 911 coverage and the coverage of the iraqi war. the only way you can get a balanced view point is to take a time out of watching the American news networks and tune into the BBC or Middle Eastern news networks.

    Wow. That was all I could say when I finished reading the posts here. Where do I stand? Right in the middle. This is like a serious food fight, with shards of glass mixed in with the scrambled eggs. I'm not saying that everyone has to get along, but the intensity of the emotions are off the charts. Does anyone here think that there are no sinners here, thereby justifying an all out attack, regardless of which side you're on? Has anyone thought of stepping back and really figuring out what's going on, instead of being manipulated like cattle into a stampede? Ever heard of divide and conquer? How about - get your opponent so emotional and bent out of shape, they over commit, over extend, and just flat out lose control; juicy, right? Instead of ranting and raving about who did what to whom, how about looking behind you and figuring out why? This is almost like the guy who gets into a multilevel scheme and being basically honest soon realizes what is going on, but cannot back down because he's invested so much into it. Again it's all emotional, and pride gets in the way. While honest citizens but emotional addicts are taking up militant positions according to their inclinations, cool and Machiavellian entities are positioning themselves for the kill; God knows what they want, but I'll bet it's not for the good of all. We're supposedly more educated here in the west, but how do you suppose those entities get their people "over there" to sacrifice themselves, blow themselves up, justify their actions? Yeah, same scheme - different venue. Weren't we all just gut freaking ready to bounce those bad boys in Iraq - conservatives and liberals alike? Unless you're living under a rock, I believe most Americans, conservatives and liberals, now believe the war a huge mistake, but like that mlm guy, has too much invested just to back out of it so quickly. Even if the next President is a Democrat, or even if the full Senate and Congress are dominated by Democrats, who's naive enough to believe we've invested in infrastructure costing billions just to leave in two years? The Romans had circuses and gladiators. Yeah, you can vote - thumbs up or down, but do you really think you're focusing on the real fight or just being distracted? Critical thinking? Hard to do. Easier to kick some butt. More emotionally satisfying and accomplishes that same scheme, the one that keeps you from paying attention to the annoying gut feeling that tells you something is wrong, but you don't know what it is, ...do you mr. jones.

    Bill Orielly is a blathering idiot. He has sold his sole for a job at fox. He would have been a half wit night beat reporter had it not been for Fox Noise. They, and their, cohorts should be treated as traitors and enemies of the republic and ran out of town on a rail. I do not advocate violence, but something has to be done before the planet completely disintegrates around us. 105 in Billings Montana, Seattle 101. Rain for 25 of 30 in Oklahoma. All one has to do is walk outside and see the effects of climate change. Fuk Rupert Murdock. His bullshit is going to lead to the deaths of millions. If there are any loyal Americans left, his propaganda machine has to be shut down.

    Watcher we have tried to reason with these people and it has entered into a perfect storm. Rupert was to sell his tv time and the oil and coal industries want to continue polluting the world. The time for action is now. If you want to sit on the sidelines and watch, then stay the hell out of the way. Fox News claims to want to help children and I heard a report that 1 in 10 children is suffering from Lung related illness. 13,000 die each year. The oil companies have us fighting and illegal war and the coal companies are dumping their toxic sludge in the Gulf of Mexico. (No, it really does not magically turn into to Pixi dust and disappear) and you want to be civil. People are dying and you want to sit there and say awe shucke darn. Shut up and site down. Let the men in the room handle these thugs.

    My father always told me that if good people do nothing that it will not be long before the bad people take over. I think that is what is happening today. The media is paid for with money from their sponsors and they are kind of beholden to the same people they are supposed to be reporting the news on and what has happened. No independent news any longer. I do not trust any politicians. The ones we have now are all crooked. Hillary Clinton should not be running for president. It was her husband that was a lighting rod for the republicans that launched them into power. She is a bimbo and a liar. John McCain is senial. We do not have any good choices.

    FOX is the worst thing to ever happen to TV. I am 39 and could write a book on their extreme right wing agenda. What I want to see now is how they will shift this Rudy video "urban Legend" and turn the truth about Rudy and spin the shit out of it. I think the day the house and congress was lost is was like a death at Fox. They couldnt believe people werent buying into their bullshit and that they helped lose the election.
    Believe it or not the white house is connected to Fox. When they needed a speaker, they grabbed Snow. When the election was close the called in an emergency meeting at the white house, consisting of Hannity, Limbaugh, Ingraham, and the rest to start this smear of liberals, because of the fear of Pelosi getting in office.
    Just to show how corrupt this place is, the ONLY forum that will give Ann Coulter any air time is Fox. Coulter is a deadhead, who is a scumbag. Gets to call John Edwards a fag at the RNC, and still shows up on Hannity, Cavuto, O'Reilly. This propaganda channel has got to go. Even there new show Red Eye started out cool, and not Gutfeld is whipping the Liberals and Gore on a nightly basis.

    The truth is that you have to watch Fox News to learn the truth because of media is controlled by left wing journalist who push their point of view -- not the truth. It is interesting that the big money behind foxattacks.com feels it has to attack and distort what is shown on Fox. Tell me how many times you see multiple sides of issues shown on the other major media -- virtually none. You get one sided biased opinions, but on Fox New you get multiple opinions and can draw a rational conclusion -- I guess that is what scares left wing groups: the people learning multiple sides of an issue and making up their own mind! That would be a great topic for Bravenewfilms -- exposing the left wing agenda of the major media conglomerates!

    How about a report on all the estimates of the number of Iraqi casualties in this war, how they all have been debunked by the various news agencies following the lead of the Bush Bunch until the next estimate, which will then be debunked and not mentioned again.

    According to polls, most Americans believe therefore a figure drastically under any of the estimates, all of which are well into six figures at this time, and there is,at least, one at seven, obscuring the one positve accomplishment of The Reign of Error, the fact that Bush has probably killed or maimed as many Iraqis as his dad, Saddam Hussein and Bill Clinton put together.

People are numbed by these idciotic,and repugnant TV Mouths. It is time that people realize this is part of their plan, to take over this country, by breaking laws within the Constitution, rendering our democracy useless and invalid. Actually, the advertiser boycott is the best we can do. All communications should be polite, to the point, and end with a specific alternative service provide to be used if the company does not discontinue advertising with Fox.

    Also, this is not just a Fox issue, all right wing hate speech should receive the same treatment. I would like to see current advertiser lists for Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter (whatever shows carry her) as well. I would like to see people notifying Barnes and Nobel, Amazon, etc., that stocking books by these people will lead to boycotts of their businesses.

    I feel that you need to put much more emphasis on the reality of what FoxNews is. It is not a News Channel, it is entirely Editorial. You need to make that distinction. This has got to be one of the saddest things I have ever seen or heard in my life. Why is it that everytime someone from either of the extreme sides of political thought in America disagrees with another's idea, they think it should be silenced. You would think that this being a left wing democratic website, that it would support free speach, but that is not the case.

    I say if you don't like Fox News, just change the channel, that is what I do when I don't like what is on. In this day of 500+ channels of mind numbing television you can surely find something on that will entertain you. TV channels are paid by advertisers because of the number of potential customers that watch them. If less people watch, the channel receives less money from advertisers, waalaaa! Personally I will continue to watch Fox News, because I find them to be the most fair and balanced of any news channels. Notice I did not say they were fair and balanced, but the most fair and balanced.

    I am very grateful for what FoxAttacks is doing to level the playing field. Fox has been attacking liberals and democrats ruthlessly for years. I just went to the FOX "News" website to watch the latest O'Reilly smear on the DailyKos. Before the video starts, you have to watch a video ad for American Express. While the video plays there is a static ad for American Express in a panel next to the screen. This caused me to think of a couple tactics that might be used to bring pressure on Fox advertisers.

    1. I get lots of junk mail with offers for credit cards, including American Express. From now on, I'll be sending them a note back, in their postage paid envelope, saying I'm declining their offer because of their ads on Fox. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone did that?

    2. A more aggressive tactic would be to encourage people to apply for any no annual fee American Express card offer they get, then cancel the card after they get it, citing the Fox ads as their reason. People might also be encouraged to apply for, and then cancel, Home Depot's Master Card, which can be applied for through the Home Depot website.

    Some people have posted comments on this website suggesting that it is enough to just not watch Fox. I don't watch Fox, but it is not enough. By posing as legitimate journalists, Fox misinforms my fellow citizens and arouses them to act in ways that is contrary to nation's interests. The effects of their poisonous lies can not be escaped. They pollute people's minds, and like any polluter they need to be reformed or stopped.

    Fox puts forth such hyperactive energy I can't bear to watch for any length of time. The bells, whistles and constant jangles are designed to jerk the person's emotions around, keeping them in a hyper state so that they're like people on speed all of the time. MSNBC Is now falling prey to that. The Fundamentalist Conservative fringe is obviously doing a gradual takeover of MSNBC just like the 'trickle down' Conservatives have taken over CNN and ABC. There never was a liberal media. There was a balanced, truthful emotionally detached media on all networks being gradually replaced now by Right Wing Radicals. This nation needs a lot of prayer for the restoration of balanced, factual and truthful reporting in all of our media.

    Wow, what a bunch of crap. I love the fact that for every scientist who's very income depends on furthering the "global warming" conculsion, there is a scientist who is actually losing funding by not taking the lemming course of action and actually exposing the lie. Thousands and thousands of actual climatologists, not scientists that don't specialize in that field have spoken up to expose this garbage.

    This is the same over-hyped knee jerk reaction that has many people being forced to recycle, which if you have read "ANY" report that isn't put out by the liberal machine, is a COMPLETE waste of time, money, energy AND creates far more pollution than making the material from scratch.

    If you disagree with any of this, that's fine, go drink your koolaid, vote for a succubus whore who will ruin this country and bash one of the finest presidents this country has ever had.

AS I REMEMBER CLINTON WAS NOT SETTING ANY EXAMPLES I WOULD WANT MY CHILDREN TO FOLLOW...HELLO...THINK...
  • Karen · 2 years ago
    Wow! It's cool to see that so many different, often conflicting, viewpoints are posted here. Some people support, some people oppose. Would the people who say this site is trying to take away the freedom of speech please notice this? Brave New Films does not have to post your comments which say how much crap you think they produce, but they do. Isn't this kind of a direct contradiction to what you're saying about them?

    I also notice LOTS of name calling and mudslinging. Because that always solves problems...

    Personally, I do not follow a particular party. The people I choose to represent me politically are picked by their indiviual ideaology, goals, standards, and past achievements and affiliations, and how they fit me. This means a lot of background research. I don't think anyone should get information from one source- how easily is that taintable? Even if it's a very "credible" source. There was a comment a while back compairing several "liberal" news organizations to control by Hitler, Stalin, etc. But this was made a person who only watches Fox. Does this person also scour the web to find information (NOT personal blogs, but actual accounts and reports) confirming what Fox states in its reports? Or rather, very similar to a dictatorship, is ALL information coming from the "one and only" source? It just doesn't make sense how you could be so blind!

    To add to that, Fox News has *ADMITTED* to broadcasting lies! This is not some third party group such as Brave New Films coming along and telling you that Fox News lied; it is straight from Fox themselves that they **lied**. They lied. Period. There is an official statement from them telling *the world* that even though they present themselves as a credible news organization, they lied. Even if only one, it took a lawsuit to get the truth out. Remember when Connie Chung broke the rules of good journalism? She was blacklisted and her credibility was destroyed. Why not Fox?

    People often want to be handfed information rather than seek it out for themselves. Whether or not you watch Fox, do some research. Find out for yourself. Check out sources from *all sides* of the story. If you still agree with Fox, fine, but at least you are educated and can intelligently say *why* you support them. This will earn you a bit more clout than just saying "those gdamn liberals are trying to take away my rights!" with nothing to back it up. Americans *need* to be informed!!

    To me Fox has no more credibility than those ridiculous yellow journalist papers at the check out stand. And their journalism is as believable as the amazing birth of the half alligator baby to a woman in Louisiana. (If you have a half alligator child, I'd love to talk!)

    To all the Ginas: if you have such disdain for this site, why do you return to say the same thing over and over again?

    Let's put this as simple as possible so even Republicans can understand it:

    love = good

    peace = good
    war = bad
    sex = good
    violence = bad
    truth = good
    lie = bad
    justice = good
    injustice = bad

    and so on...

    I mean, come on! It's just a matter of common sense. All the word to distort and blur the most basic principles are bullshit.

    In this area of the country (Knoxville, TN), many of the local businesses and restaurants have a television. Most of these restaurants that show the "news" run the Fox channel all the time. When I talked to some of the managers of these restaurants, they seem unaware that Fox has a biased viewpoint. I feel alone. How can we affect this bombardment of republican propoganda by businesses. If you recall, Walmart invited their customers nationally to watch the election results in their stores on Fox News. I would be interested any comments about this issue from others.

    Thank you for the work you do.
