FoxNews is a great news channel. Fair and balanced and exposes left loonies like you.

    THANK YOU
  • Dave the American · 2 years ago
Our thanks to Genti Hila, the fact that in your written "opinion" you chant the FoxNews mantra really makes the point. Sheep like you are at the very root of the agrument! Anyone that thinks Fox is Fair and Balanced only wants to hear the Republican agenda rehashed, spun and ready for a fools consumption. Bon appetit!
  • william helms · 2 years ago
I personally think fox news is Republican, i also think cnn is Democrat. There used to be this network in america called the public broadcast network,if it were only still around now they were fair and balanced!I bet you could get a fair debate out of that network!
  • Julio · 2 years ago
I just cannot understand how someone can be as blind or deaf as not to see that fox is just an outlet for the extreme right and that they do not allow anyone with a different point of view. Hannity makes me sick with his commentaries his idea of being an american is to follow and say yes to anything the president does.
  • Dan · 2 years ago
thanks a bunch. it makes me feel like there's hope. Denial is so prevalent in those who can't unconvince themselves from a convincing light up box Like Genti Hila

Fox and the GOP have shown that there "ain't no rules". The problem with the Dem leadership no one is really mad and they yet play by the "rules". How about rounding up so loyal Dems in New York, make some posters and signs and show up outside the windows for Fox in the Morning show. Lets start hounding them like they hounded us. I'm sure there will be some gutless Dem leaders that will whine, screw 'em'. They're the reason the Dems are in this weak position. They're just as much to blame for the country's woe's as Fox or the GOP. Let's do it!
  • Sereth · 2 years ago
CNN is not 'Democrat'. Have you ever seen Zahn's section, "Why Do Atheists Inspire Hatred?"?
I'm not saying its right-wing, but its certainly not left-wing either. Thats like saying that because something isn't the color black it must be white. But no, it can also be gray, or orange, purple, what have you.

Fox is, undeniably, the biggest piece of garbage on cable.

why does it have to be about rep. or dem. what about plain humans-our race- our- our hearts!fuck the gov't completely
  • G du Lac · 2 years ago
I'm sorry, but it's so true I'm sick to death of it: Republicans have no heart and Democrats have no brains. Somebody has got to be sick of the lack of leadership and strength within the DNC. And right now, the Dems are trying to toe the line on egg shells while the Republicans steel America blind!

Although, it is rather hopeful to see organizations getting together to do something like this. Kill FoxNews!
  • Amber Taylor · 2 years ago
The thing is that there are some amazing democrats and republicans, and some really horrible ones as well, you can't just divide the two parties and label them 'good' or 'bad', because there is no truth in that.
  • Louie · 2 years ago
Foxnews is a far right news agency if you dare to call that network news. It is just a network full of former and present Republican Party employees running the network. From Roger Ailes to Bill O'Reilly. These promote far right agendas aligned with the Republican Party. They get talking points from the Republican Party everyday. Those who watch the show are far right nutjobs themselves who drink the koolaid. Finally Democrats have taken their stand against this dishonest network but my problem is they took too long. Foxnews is a disgrace. In fact having a network that takes talking points from one political party is dangerous. That is not democracy. That is communists at its best. No challeges to this administration, no hard questions. Foxnews is an example of how commies rose to power in the past because of they repeat government talking points. Any so-called news network who is bias and takes government talking points is a danger to democracy.
  • Michael Stuart · 2 years ago
As a British outsider looking in it's fairly blatant bias towards Republican propaganda and politics.

If anyone thinks they are getting 'fair and balanced' news with Fox then they are either a) deluded, b) thick or c) both.

We have the BBC and Channel Four in the UK who both provide quality news service, if they ever tried to go down the road of Fox there would be a public outrage.

    Americans deserve better than Fox!

Fox News IS the right-wing spin network. They spin and smear better than any network in the history of cable news media. O'Reilly and Hannity put stooge quests on and then lump their views and opinion as being ALL DEMOCRATS views.

They had Dick Morris on O'Reilly the 1st hour one night during the Cheney shooting incident saying "some crazy left wing media will be saying Cheney was drunk". Then, an hour later he went on Hannity and Colmes (advertised as an ex-Clinton advisor) and said it himself...THAT CHENEY WAS DRUNK!!! So you see, he set up the Democrats on O'Reilly, then he delivered (as the stooge) on Hannity.

You'll see this OVER and OVEr on Fox, where the guest is so whacked out....then they'll lump it in the Left Wing Democrat loonies. When in fact, they're creating THEMSELVES!!!
  • Nathan · 2 years ago
YOU DONT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT FOX NEWS HAS DONE NOTHING BUT SMEARED OBAMA, AND SMEARED EVERY BLACK PERSON THAT HAS BEEN ON THAT SHOW!
  • Pete · 2 years ago
Fox is nothing but a propaganda outlet for the far right - certainly not to be considered a "News" network!

Only the most brainless and ignorant "faithful" who have been indoctrinated and brainwashed from birth to accept incredible, fantastic claims without any substantiated proof of any kind can accept Fox as a credible source of truth. It's unfortunate for our country that so many of these imbeciles exist.
  • Les · 2 years ago
I served as an intelligence analyst in the marine core during the iraq war in 2003. The battalion intelligence department was ordered to follow the fox news account of 9-11. The opionins of those I worked with, including myself at the time, were that fox news provided the best information concerning public opinion and that the opinions were "fair and balanced". Even out of curiosity the station could not be changed to other versions of news while higher officals and "fox followers" were present. Looking back, fox new had a serious affect on that department. "They" force there opinions in the most clever of ways.
  • NoSpinZone · 2 years ago
Fox news and it's old news talking heads are mentally challenged given their proven mental ability's and their rank distortions of the truth on all matters! Their conservative republican messages are all ties into fear smear and intimidation... Take bill O who fit's the typical profile of a school yard bullie who see's almost everything in my way or the high way, but what's missing from his show is a real man who would bitch slap Billy back over his chair... And the very next thing the world would see is Billy on his knees crying for his pathetic life... It's typical of the republican mentality to think their tuff and talk a big story until called out to defend their country and put their life on the line... I believe they are no more than judas goats trying to lead this country down the road to a totally fascist form of government! Their disdain for Human Rights, like their overwhelming need for everyone to fear our enemies and their total need for security that has to infringe on our Constitutional right, and then give no security by leaving our borders wide open since 911... I believe Nov. 08 will shut down their game plan and hopefully it wont start a civil war in this country by them trying to stop the will of the American people!
  • Brian · 2 years ago
Anyone with an open mind and some intelligence can tell by watching Fox News that it is biased political propaganda. Grow up, conservative kiddies!
  • Adrian · 2 years ago
I am from Germany, but I spend the last school year in California. What I found is that American news (not only Fox) are only focussed on the sensation and the entertainment of it, not the education. When you watch "__World__ News" on ABC, you get stories of Florida families who renovate their homes. Sadly enough, most viewers are more interested in such "news" than actual political journalism.
Well, now I'm back in Germany and enjoy the Tagesschau, that's some serious news.

Isn't it interesting that H. Clinton was hosted by the owner of Fox for a fundraiser. It surely compromised her cadidacy for me. Is she wants to sully herself with an Israeli apologist, that's fine. But I will not vote for her....any time.

When I saw that video I was speechless. How can people be that stupid and wrong about globle warming. It's not a hocs or something people make up its real. I don't find it funny or nice about what they said about Al Gore. Al Gore is a terrific man and does a lot for the planet. Al Gore is a person I look up to and admire and for people to basicly bash him, well their just stupid.
I can't believe that fox would say that. What are they tring to say that anyone who believes in globle warming or thinks Gore is a great person they are stupid or what? Globle warming is no joke it's real it's out there and if we don't do anything well I'm affraid of whats going to appen.

Anyone that watches and believe anything said on FOX-TV, news and/or non news programing most have been a victim of a lobomization at early age. Murdock has forgotten that no matter how much devaluated american dollars he/and the so called religious right have in their Assets columns, none of it will save their children's children and their children's children when the planet desides that IT had enough of our abuses... and all the scientific data that they want to smear and make look like a panic attack, comes to be. AND HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WILL COME TO BE. Changes on the Planet Earth have happened without our direct provocation... well we have and ARE RIGHT NOW CONTINUING WITH PROVOCATIONS NEVER BEFORE DONE TO PLANET EARTH. REMEMBER... EVERYTHING VIBRATES. EVERYTIME WE CAUSE AN EXPLOTION... THE REST OF THE PLANET VIBRATES... AND WE ARE BOMING THE PLANET ALL OVER. REMEMBER... THE PLANET EARTH IS ROUND. ONE BIG ROUND MASS. USE YOUR BRAINS TO THINK, NOT TO PLAN HOW YOUR NEXT MILLION IS COMING TO BE PART OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. YOUR GRAND AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN WILL NOT HAVE ANY USE FOR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.... THERE WILL NOT BE A LIVABLE PLANET TO BUILD AND SPEND IT ON, STUPID!

  • Mark Ferrall · 2 years ago
I think so many people miss the point when they start trying to label one media outlet 'liberal' or one media outlet 'conservative'. There are no news network on television that responsibly report the truth, at least not that I can find. So what if one is left and one is right, each of them have talking heads that only say things that infuriate people driving a wedge deeper between us keeping us from paying attention to what is most important, progress.

Each news organization, and CNN is just as bad as FOX, has only one group that it considers it self responsible to, its investors. And it just so happens that for each network these investors include CEO's and lobbyists for insurance companies, oil companies, pharmaceuticals, you name it. How convenient it is also when companies can tailor their employees retirement options to include the stock of other companies that want to mantain control over and call it 'diversification'. The mainstream media is only concerned with the almighty dollar.

Now by no means do I mean to say that CNN and FOX are on the same level, because FOX deliberately changes the facts and abuses minorties and people who disagree with them, but CNN is bad too. If you don't believe me watch Micheal Moore's interview with Wolf Blitzer (by the way I'm not a Moore fan) because there is a moment when Wolf is arguing with him about CNN's reporting and sponsership where he says that CNN "is a business" and think about that in context with the idea of an independent media that the constitution garuntees and the fact that the airwaves are supposed to be publicly owned. There are several other interviews that Wolf and other CNN say similar things including that they are the "voice of the people" which they are not.

But, to wrap this up, stop watching network news if you want to see your news watch anything on PBS. Otherwise listen to programs like Democracy Now, read the Nation, heck if you want partisanship listen to Rush at least he portrays what he says as opinions not passing them of for the news.
  • Dan · 2 years ago
How can anyone say that CNN skews to the left even near as much as FOX"news" skews to the right? Did anyone see the blowout between Michael Moore and Wolf Blizer? You would never see such an argument between anyone on FOX and Rush Limbaugh, or any mouthpiece for the right. Afterall FOX"news" is just another mouthpiece for the right.
  • jeremy · 2 years ago
I sighned the petition and am very prod of it
  • Mark Ferrall · 2 years ago
Dan, I doubt you will read to respond to this but I don't mean to say that CNN skews that much to the left, its just that all of them skew in any direction their investors want them too. That is what Micheal Moore was saying. If the people who give you money don't want you to investigate Iraq you wont, thats why we are there. Likewise, CNN gets advertising from Pfizer and Merk, so there wont be any positive reports on the benefits of universal health care by CNN, because if they do they lose their advertising.

Its not so much the direction of the skew than the fact that its all skewed towards big business, because for the most part the media is no longer owned and run by the public as the many smaller stations and outlets have been swallowed by Time Warner and ABC-Disney so our news comes from 4 sources instead of many.

FOX is the worst because it is in all honesty the only station that puts on a conservative front, which is not a bad thing, its just that because they are unique they attempt to draw more viewers by getting people who will say shocking and head turning things like O'Reilly and even the weather man gets in on it. If tonight FOX found out it could make more money by being a hardcore liberal news outlet, it would be one tomorrow. Right and left are just fronts that these companies put on to make money because thats what we the consumer want. News only consists of facts about what is going on.

My point, stop watching network news, read, its faster its easier, it doesn't try to suck you in to keep you watching the next half hour that turns out to be the same thing you just watched. But don't read from just CNN, read Mother Jones magizine, Adbusters is amazing for social commentary, read the Nation. And by all means watch PBS its the most neutral source there is, no matter what the right says PBS is incredibly unbiased, its only reality that has a liberal bias.

Being swedish, I just wanna express my point of view on this.
First of, Fox News (we get that over here too) really is a big reason americas got such a bad reputation in europe, since it expresses values that are intolerant, narrow-minded and often plain absurd.

And since the current government won by a semi-democratic election, a large part of the america population must share these views of their fellow man.

I mean, for example. If the democrats started a party here in sweden, they would be flagged as a religios far right-wing group, and probably wouldnt get many votes at all.
Imagine how the republicas/Fox News look compared to that! :D

It is obvious in general that those in power simply don't reflect their constituents, they represent the money. A few people have mentioned this already here. Money, which is supposed to be a lubricant to help make life easier, is being used to bribe and corrupt those in power.

If you are rewarded for lying, even if you frown on lying, you will be more likely to lie. This sort of corruption should be rooted out, as we are only responding to the result, not the cause of it. What is the cause of it...? I don't know! Do you?

There should always be suspicions of those in power. It is a necessary safeguard to ensure the integrity of our country, regardless of whether they are doing a good job or not. Where the hell is our integrity these days!?!?
  • Ed · 2 years ago
No, it is the religious right that gave them (Rep) the power to win at the poles, (probably were influenced by money however) It was a colaboration of several powerful groups: fundamentalist Christians who don't understand or tolerate foreign religions, Jewish Americans (traditionally democratic) who switched and are for anyone who will fight against the perceived enemies of a greedy Israel, and just plain ignorant Americans who don't read, are glued to their tv sets after they get off work and couldn't decipher the difference between justified retaliation against Afganistan and unjustified aggression against Iraq.

I am a German that has lived in America for a while now. I go back every summer to visit friends and find their attitude about America has gotten proggressively worse.
Americans to them are narrow-minded and extremely ignorant to the outside world. I shutter to think what they would think of the Fox Noise Channel and all its uber-religious, arrogant, and nationalisitc propaganda.
At least in the Soviet Union and other places people knew they were watching propaganda (not that the USSR in any way good). Here people think theyre watching news, but unknowingly are brainwashed.
PS im not a democrat liberal or communist.
im a moderate. (right-wing in europe)

    About global warming:

Extremes of temperature are NOT the issue. It is the AVERAGE temperature that it IS the issue. Anyone who believes a cold spell is any kind of proof AGIANST global warming needs a course in basic statistics.

    2. The goofy ass who makes the claim that we should be more worried about "Ahmed the bomber rather than some stupid glacier" knows zero about hydrology. Glaciers are like "money in the bank" in terms of a water supply. When they dissapear the result can be devastating to a local watershed dependent on that glacier for groundwater recharge.

These fools on television jump around to keep you entertained. Sober science is about as far from their mentality as a pig is from performing calculus. Investigate the science your self. Don't listen to any idiot in the media. They all just want to keep you entertained. They are a useless waste of your time.

So, Republicans go to liberal biased channels to debate (i.e. MSNBC and CNN), but Democrats aren't man (or woman) enough to face a conservative biased channel. That's democracy.
  • Book-Lover · 2 years ago
Republicans are invited on CNN and MSNBC and are "allowed" to express their opinion. But on FakeNews Bill O'Reilly or Shaun Hannity will never allow a Democrat to speak freely ... either they will cut him off rudely, scream over his voice, tell him to shut up or cut off his mike. That's the difference between a real news channel and FakeNews.

Oh! By the way "Adam" I read your immature post above. I think Eve is calling you. Hurry up, she's speaking with the snake right now ... or is it with the teddy bear? Sorry, I never can remember how that crazy fairy tale goes again.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me sick to my stomach. Fox News(News my ass...) lies, decieves, and is so biased, its not even funny how obvious that is, and I am ashamed to know that my generation either does not know, or does not care that they are being lied to half the time, or having facts omitted, facts that are essential to getting a whole story out of the pile of crap Fox comes up with...and to think that kids in school are actually TOLD to watch Fox News, so they can learn current events, I am seriously ashamed to say I used to watch Fox News when I was in middle school...

Journalism: direct presentation of facts or occurrences with little attempt at analysis or interpretation. The moment a journalist gives his own personal opinion about a subject then it looses the very base upon which journalism should exist: objective, free and independent.
  • Julian Kernes · 2 years ago
I was at a dental clinic where they had FOX on and they spend more segment times on some car being pulled out of a lake than news in Iraq which was one segment. They even had a report on the scene giving moment by moment updates including the crane being attach to the car but not moving for a couple of those segments, then a couple minutes on Iraq which we are loosing and back to no movement of the crane. I guess FOX doesn't want to emphasize the failure of policy in Iraq for too long because the lack of movement of the car crane was more important for people to know.

After seeing all the videos on fox attacking people left and right is really hard to believe they can tell themselves that what they say is legitimate on a news tv show. Its just crazy almost to the point of being hilarious to see these news casters say all this stuff. For example fox attacking black america, cutting the guy off when he critized the police of being violent and racist. There all just racist robots. There all the same and as for fox being fair and balanced. Its just looks like a saturdaynight live, news episode. You just cant take them serious, not meaning to let everything slide. Cant believe people even watch and say there watching news.Watching John Stewart is more accurate and serious than fox.

Like it or not, according to surveys of cable news network viewers,Fox News dominates during most hourly time segments. By suggesting that we shy away from participation on their channel we will be removing ourselves from the marketplace of ideas and left to broadcasting companies where no one is watching. Not very smart IMHO if we believe our ideas will stand on their own merits and pursuade those that are still formulating their own opinions about an issue.

Just like President Bush, Fox News is an oxymoron.

Fox has shown time and again its willingness to ignore facts while perpetuating the right-wing agenda. This is a proveable Murdoch edict, and is the reason why I and my intelligent, insightful and compassionate friends won't waste a minute of our very precious lives watching Fox "News".

Anyone who claims that Fox is unbiased or anything but right-wing and Republican in its mission statement is exactly the kind of sheep that ol' Rupert, O'Reilly and their miserable cohorts love to maniupulate (Genti, let me phrase this in a language you can understand: Baaaaaa!)

I refuse to be treated like a sheep, and will therefore NEVER turn to Fox for anything but The Simpsons. It'll be interesting to see how Fox alters its "news" once Bush and his gang of treasonous criminals finally lose their grip on our country. My only hope is that it won't be too little, too late...

    Free and Biased news...

Gotta love how typical headline news on the fox network consists of stories on local cheerleaders, turtles crossing the road, Bush taking another trip to the ranch, bike safety, church gatherings,,....meanwhile it appears as though not a single person has died in Iraq.

Rupert Murdoch has destroyed journalism. If you want real news, you have to turn to a foreign news outlet or the internet. Sad huh ?

It all boils down to what Reagan did in 1988 bowing to pressure from the right: "Abolishing the Fairness Doctrine" which allowed channels like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to exist. 92% of radio talk show hosts are right wing persuasion. Public airwaves belong to the public and the fairness doctrine must be restored. Insist that the presidential candidates promise to restore the fairness doctrine and bust the 5 media monopolies which control our thought process.

We live in a state of corporate fascism, treating this planet as business in liquidation, exhausting its resources and destroying its environment. Man is but one species amongst billions of other species on this planet. No one gave man dominion on this planet except man himself. How egotistic has he become? Nature’s god is angry at us. Shame ---Shame…
It all boils down to what Reagan did in 1988, bowing to pressure from the right, by abolishing the “Fairness Doctrine". The fairness doctrine was the law of the land since 1932. Abolishing the fairness doctrine allowed channels like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to come to existence. Ninety two percent (92%) of radio talk show hosts now are right wingers. Public airwaves belong to the public and the fairness doctrine must be restored. Insist that the presidential candidates promise to restore the fairness doctrine and to bust the 5 media monopolies which control our thought process. Demand public finance of election.

They all hated F.D.R.! I agree that the most effective means to address this injustice is by addressing the companies that advertise on their network. We could agree to begin with HomeDepo and elect to shop at alternative stores.

Of course Fox News is fair and balanced.
They tell both sides of every story.
    The right-wing & the far right-wing.
To pretend otherwise is just slander.

A site like yours has been long over due. It never ceases to amaze me how many people I meet that believe the totally twisted bull that comes out of fox. I'm forwarding your link to as many as I can.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the
money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what
they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN
tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for
themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are
obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

Makes ya wonder why anyone would EVER vote Republican, now doesn't it?
